Well done Alex - the sunshine makes a difference doesn't it!

    Have a nice afternoon.

Money wise, Mrs. K. and I have manged a no spend day. Following the advice of someone on here quite a few weeks ago, we went to a few places in the local area that neither of us had visited. Just to take this whole MSE idea a bit further, we even took a picnic along so not even had lunch at a cafe. Anyhow, all three of us had a great time and thank you for the suggestion.

This was meeee!!! Sorry I'm only just catching up :) Glad it went well, and long may it continue!

    Debt-free and Proud!
    Saturday 19th April, 2014.

    Dear Diary,

For the whole day I have found myself asking why life has to be so damn complicated? Whilst we have had a nice afternoon out walking, it has also given me chance to begin thinking about things (never a good idea), especially the question of what is next, just what does the future bring for me? The fact is I feel sick thinking about tomorrow for whilst some days I am a pleasant person to be around, am productive and have time for my family, on other days I simply cannot face the world, let business slip to the point of grinding to a halt as well as wishing I never have to see another human being ever again. Guiltily, that can sometimes even extend to my own son.

Nothing helps those days and believe you me, I've tried the pills and the talking. I've even tried to articulate into words what is happening in my mind only to end up with a scrambled mess on a piece of paper with ink running through a number of pages in a notebook where I have left ink to bleed through lest I stab myself with it. None of this helps the money situation, none of it lets me begin to look forwards instead of backwards and most importantly none of this is fair on my family.

How on earth can I ever hope to stay debt free once I've sold enough of my possessions to get debt free when for sometimes weeks on end I can hardly force myself out of bed and into the world. I am gravely concerned that all of this is for nothing in the long run and that I still have ran away from learning to take responsibility for my own finances as all I've learned so far is how to do jolly good eBay listings.

    Summary:
    -£30.00 Petrol.
    -£15.00 Groceries for picnic.

    Yours Faithfully,
    Alex.

Thanks, we have had a nice day, didn't really visit anywhere in particular just did some walking a few miles from home, bird spotting with an old book I bought for £1 (may have been 50p) from a "vintage" shop in Matlock which our son enjoyed. :)

If he continues to be entertained by such simple means, Mrs. K. and I may have to write a book on raising a child the frugal way.

Great that you all had a good time today.

Though your diary does show a bit too much thinking - how is the therapy going - are you still having appointments?

Roland: Unfortunately, I do not have counselling anymore as now Mrs. K. and I have separate finances I cannot afford to - all my salary goes on household bills.

You're welcome! :D Life is good thanks, busy times with a 5 week old in the mix, it's a learning curve :p Sorry to hear you're struggling, hope things become easier in the near future. Keep going, take each day/hour/moment at a time :)
