I wish she did volunteer, the Red Cross run a young carers once a month, so kids can have fun, activities etc.
My thoughts exactly - but calcium in the cheese (there has to be a positive somewhere).
It really sounds like your turning a corner with the counselling x
Googled and understood, sorry for the misunderstanding.
:rotfl: You mean those things do actually contain some cheese?
The counselling still is not easy, counsellor wanted to talk about my past in quite some depth and with some rather uncomfortable suggestions being made, I can't say I wished to hear.2018 totals:

Alex - looks like you had a great revelation - and ifs its to the core issue its bound to be a painful journey.
Regarding that other chap you spoke to - it just shows some people have other value systems - he probably did not 'seem' content - but actually was - without all the trappings of wealth that you think he may have needed.
Arn't the most enlightened people those who do not strive for wealth but cultivate love and compassion.
Regarding cheese strings - Alex you will find as kids get older what they regard as a treat will almost always be junk of some sort!Great opportunities to help others seldom come, but small ones surround us every day. -- Sally Koch0 -
Hello Alex!
Hope your morning is so far so good!!
Well, you said you wanted to be 'optimistic'?! THEN, you need to make small changes to your thought patterns! :-) :-) yes you can!!
By the way! There are people who have studied what personality traits make some people very SUCCESSFUL !!
But, all successful people after enjoying, splashing their money buying toys and islands and becoming 'tired of it'??? Have said:
Success is not things! Success is happiness! Hahaha to find that out it does not take a genius, is common sense! :-)
I believe some people in your threat have already suggested that 'they believe even if you had all the money you wanted, you will only want more so you will never be satisfied'.
Be happy!No debts 🙌0 -
Hi Roland! So beautifull what you wrote' '... Love and compassion!'
Have a lovely day.No debts 🙌0 -

If counselling was easy, it wouldn't be any good. It's more about what you need to hear than what you want to hear I'm afraid!
The conversation with the acquaintance sounds incredibly interesting, and I have to say I generally agree with him. Epiphanies come in the strangest of circumstances, don't they?

Had a bit of an epiphany regarding the business today, too: I do not have to like it to sell it and can still be enthused about our manufacturing processes (that makes it sound MUCH bigger than it is :rotfl: ).
Personally, I've not really a clue what "happiness" or "contentedness" even look like and read an article regarding people like me not being able to ever be happy. Perhaps, that is the case.
I was only joking regarding the cheese strings.Iwillsucceed wrote: »Hello Alex!

Morning has been productive.
Considering I've not been good at "common sense" to date, it's no wonder success in the "real world" has not been forthcoming.
Yes, so they have, I just suppose I didn't realise it myself until yesterday, not truthfully anyway.heartbreak_star wrote: »If counselling was easy, it wouldn't be any good. It's more about what you need to hear than what you want to hear I'm afraid!

I do understand that, it doesn't make it any easier though.
Indeed they do. Mind, I reckon the acquaintance is the knit your own yoghurt, Lib Dem voting, "Green" issue sort who always seem inexplicably smug.

Oi! Bot off! That's me you're talking about there! :rotfl:
To be fair...they're probably smug because they're content

I do NOT buy those cheap, nasty, plastic cheese strings for my kids!!!!!!
(because I LOVE them and can't stop at just eating one.......!)0 -
Forget those cheese strings, pass me the port and stilton any day. Mind, perhaps I just want the alcohol.

I think that likely proves we crave things that are bad for us at any age. :rotfl:2018 totals:
