So tomorrow is when I go looking for bargain pens at 99p which are worth £1,000!!

Re Elves - there is a long list of ELFCAPADES here.

Here are some form the MSE Elf Thread:

Eating choccies and leaving the wrappers on the floor

Leaving various crafts things for the children to do each evening after school to get them in the Xmas mood

A treasure hunt on Christmas eve

Hiding things for us to find

Taking photos of himself at night with our children when they were asleep

Mischeivious & playful things our Elf will get upto when the children are at school or asleep for them to "find" him doing!:

Decorate their bedrooms with lots of snow flakes hung from ceilings

Take a photo of us with Otis all when we are asleep

He will be found "fishing" in our fish tank (drinking straw and bit of string )

Snowball fights with my childrens teddys or dolls (cotton wool balls)

    Hide various things

    Hide himself

    Be naughty and eat choccies!

    Be found watching Xmas films!

Heard lots about the Christmas Shoeboxes that are done for needy children abroad. If you want to feel a warm glow get involved and fill some boxes - just small toys, toothbrushes, hats etc.

:rotfl: Something like that ...! Already starting to feel quite ill, so hopefully be OK tomorrow as I have quite a lot of work to do. Embarrassingly, I seem to recall was showing my parents dancing Gangam Style Halloween lights on the front of some America's house on youtube and telling them they ought to have something like that done when son is old enough to remember it. Will NEVER drink again ... until next time.

My prep used to do the shoeboxes. I remember one year I was annoyed about it (because they were getting presents and I wasn't) and my mother threatening to swap me with one of the kids from abroad if I didn't stopped being so ungrateful. :o On the plus side I've grown up and am more than happy to send a few gifts now.

Thank you for the Elf ideas.

    Monday 2nd December, 2013.
    Day 93.

    Dear Diary,

Just another Manic Monday has rolled around again. Unfortunately, I have had a rather large deal fall through with the possibility of another going the same way.

On the debt front, my eBay items are live. I apologise for my diary entries seeming to only get worse in quality, hopefully they will be back up to my usual standard soon.

    Summary:
    +£25.00 Music Lessons.
    -£2.40 Cafe.

    Yours Faithfully,
    Alex.

Hello, Alex, I thought of you the other day.

I went to an antiques fair and there was a box of assorted old pens up for sale at £120, for 'refurbishment'.

I reckon you'd have been tempted !:rotfl:

Sorry to hear about the deal going pear shaped, but hopefully eBay will yield some sales

I've bought things like that at antiques fairs before, you have to be careful as often they can be a load of old rubbish.

The deal is a business deal, not a personal one. To be honest if the other falls through too (it's the same people and money is the issue), I'm going to have a VERY quiet start to 2014. Hope something turns up soon. :o

Sorry to hear about the deal, as the old saying goes one door closes another opens.

Good luck with the ebay listings. x

I certainly hope that is the case, mum2one. Business has almost seemed a little "too good to be true" as of late, so I suppose a set back was only to be expected.
