    Monday 25th November, 2013.
    Day 86.

    Dear Diary,

In many ways I feel as if I am merely going through the motions this evening as I've nothing much to report. My day has been fairly busy but not manic, thank goodness and I am no further on in my pursuit to become debt free. Whilst the opening few sentences to this entry sound somewhat moody, I am actually quite alright for once if a little bored.

Tomorrow brings some teaching and a meeting, both of which I hope will be successful and I am beginning to wonder what results the performers I accompanied got in there exams even though I doubt I'll find out for a while. After having a word with Mrs. K. we have decided that going to see Santa and walk around the Christmas market which is coming to Matlock soon is a definite.

    Summary:
    -£4.65 Groceries.

    Yours Faithfully,
    Alex.
    2018 totals:
    Savings £11,200
    Mortgage Overpayments £5,500

one thing you might consider putting into your pre christmas budget - a traditional wooden sledge (second hand of course or rather vintage:o;) NOT second hand) - the shop on the corner in Cromford always has them - i am presuming you to be a wooden sledge rather than a plastic one type of guy ;)

we got ours there years ago and it is fab but you do need to wax the runners before each outing..

loads of magical memories for the price of a sledge

    Tuesday 26th November, 2013.
    Day 87.

    Dear Diary,

Today has not been so good for me and no, not because I've been out and bought lots of shiny new toys. I've had quite a horrible reminder of the past and am very afraid this may feature more in my future to come, I do hope not though.

At least I've not spent any money that wasn't needed to be.

    Summary:
    -£50.00 Petrol.

    Yours Faithfully,
    Alex.

    hi Alex
I have been catching up on the last 8 pages as I have had revision to do. But I passed one course so yeah!

I won't comment on your mum. My feelings mirror other posters who have said what I want to say far more eloquently than I can.

Great that the party went so well. That is ace. It could well be the first thing little K has a proper memory of so that is lovely for him.

Yeah also for little K going an extra day at nursery next week too. Now that he is 3 will you be putting him in for all his free hours? Seems a shame to waste something that is free. And it will help your parents out as they won't have to run around after a bouncy 3 year old so much.

Wow to your mum being so determined to carry on working at 72. If I am by then I would be demented unless it was something that I was passionate about and then that is different. I hope that common sense can prevail on her, and she hands over the reins soon. So she can enjoy her retirement.

Nice one on the ebay sales too.

But best of all well done on sticking with the counselling. Having been the offerer of counselling (all be it only a trainee and gave it up), it can be uncomfortable. But if you keep on doing the same thing you keep on getting the same result. You are already changing with regards finances. And I am sure that the counselling will be positive too. Just remember how uncomfortable confronting the financial dilemmas were, and you have done that (ok work in progress). So take strength from that.
