Thank you all for the support, I hope you don't find it rude that I am not answering everybody's posts as I have found this topic very difficult to talk about. I have been to my counselling session and we talked briefly about my family but I didn't feel ready to go into details, yet.

On the positive, I've had a nice work related result (music). :)

Lannie: Sorry to hear you haven't been very well. :(

Yay to the positive music result, and great that you have another counselling session under your belt. Have a good evening with your family:D

Just how big is this collection? Is it big enough for a portion of it to pay off the next full & final settlement? Or even full & final settlements on the lot? Who would have thunk it? (that was deliberate - for the grammar police). Have a good evening & hope mini K enjoyed his day!

I've sold a couple to get into the position I am currently, talking of which I need to update the signature. If I were to sell them all I could certainly pay the next Full and Final. However, I've put selling the things that mean a lot to me in order to clear my house of "junk" (there's A LOT)!

Son had a lovely day at nursery, thank you. :) He's going for an extra day next week because my parents are going away for five days.

Thats a bit down market for you though!!!

:rotfl: I actually like that! Wouldn't display them so formally though, instead I was thinking one could make a few pieces of art out of them.

Do you mean to say you didn't pick up an expensive nicknack to deal with the pain of counselling and us all bashing your head.

Not that it would be a nick nack of course, as if.

Just remember your musical talent, your antiquing, car skills, ability to woo such a fine wife, to raise such a happy son- it's all you, no one else did that .

Didn't pick anything up today. :D Admittedly, I had a coffee in a cafe in town but that was it, bit better than the £70 last time. :o

:rotfl: I'll not massage Mrs. K.'s ego any more by showing her this reply. ;)

Thank you very much, maddiemay. Your kind words over the past few replies have gave me quite a bit to think about. :)

Whoops, I've made it sound much more than it is. :o My niece has won an award at her school for a mini-recital (3 pieces) she performed in front of her whole school. My brother-in-law reported she was the consummate professional, too. :D

    Debt-free and Proud!
    Thursday 21st November, 2013.
    Day 82.

    Dear Diary,

I must admit, I'm feeling somewhat smug with a hypothetical "pat on the back" from my brother-in-law, for my abilities as a piano teacher. Not to mention he's passed my name onto the school to put in the newsletter, which may result in a few more pupils. However, I won't be disappointed if that doesn't matter as they live a fair distance away.

Staying with the positive, I am now less in debt than I was, having paid the first Full and Final, also I did not go on some mad spending spree after my counselling session which was difficult to say the least. I don't enjoy it but am going to stick with it. Fortunately, I have a break from it next week.

Don't need to say a lot on the debt busting front, I've paid some off today, need I say anymore? Well, actually yes, one more item is listed on eBay.

    Summary:
    +£25.00 Music Teaching.
    -£60.00 Counselling.
    -£2.10 Cafe.

    Yours Faithfully,
    Alex.

This being the brother-in-law who used to think you were a waste of space :rotfl:. Glad to see she's doing well under your tutelage.
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort
