It'll feel so good when you are on your holiday and it's all paid for. We went to the Lakes in Sept and the Canaries in March (sounds really flash! We don't usually have 2 holidays in a year! Mr Delta had a significant birthday so I spent a year beforehand saving up to surprise him). Both paid for in advance and spending money saved in a specific account. It was great to come back from holiday and *not* be skint for the rest of the month / seeing the holiday money on credit card bill.Sealed Pot Challenge - No. 117

EchoDelta: I'm looking forward to having a "paid for" holiday.
Although today hasn't been great, the determination to stay debt free is still here, Mrs. K. is also on board (finally!).
2018 totals:

Mortgage Overpayments £5,5000 -
However, I am once again beginning to feel rather inadequate after Mrs. K. rang telling me about the Caribbean cruise the receptionist at work's husband is taking her on over Christmas.
Don't envy them Alex - they may end up with Noro virus!Great opportunities to help others seldom come, but small ones surround us every day. -- Sally Koch0 -
Roland: :rotfl: At least you're here to cheer Mrs. K. and I up! We both laughed, not that we want them to get such a thing, mind.
Having said I feel envious of certain people going away on nice holidays the weather here in Derbyshire has been lovely today and I did have a good afternoon with my son (who was not in the best of moods this morning).2018 totals:

I'm sure son will appreciate being at home over Christmas - cold crisp walks or maybe even snow.
Not wishing bad luck onto the cruisers but holidays arn't all they are cracked up to be - queueing at airports, delays, lost luggage - much better to stay at home and enjoy yourself in your own surroundings.Great opportunities to help others seldom come, but small ones surround us every day. -- Sally Koch0 -
Roland: I think he will.
Me neither but I know what you mean, our last holiday ended quite stressfully with a long delay. Still, didn't change my initial reaction to the news.
In all honesty, Mrs. K.'s work have a Christmas meal every year and I've dreaded seeing that man (receptionist's husband) for a couple of years now; his first words to me last year were "still babysitting?" accompanied by a smirk. Hopefully he either won't turn up or I'll laugh it off this year, eh?2018 totals:

He sounds like a right knob!!! "Did you mean to be so rude" is a possible response if you want to stay polite. "Still a tw**?" if you don't! :rotfl:Sealed Pot Challenge - No. 117

Well is there a more important job than raising a young person?
Would you have more 'status' in that fool's eyes if you were working with computers or selling insurance?
