Great news on the party :T, we're all proud of you :j.A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

Friday 25th October, 2013.
Day 55.
Dear Diary,
I'm pleased to say that for once I have had a thoroughly pleasant day. Work has been quiet but it always is on Fridays mainly because it's my wife's half day and I take the afternoon off. However, the party invites have been sent out, OK well a few phone calls have been made and it appears we have 3 nursery friends plus parents, Mrs. K.'s parents, Mrs. K.'s brother and family and my parents, who are wanting to be involved in organising the day. They did offer to pay but we declined, just got to hope we manage this, his birthday presents and a present for mother's upcoming birthday on £300 now.
Staying with the positive, my wife told me that despite some of my set backs she is proud of me for sticking with trying to sort our money problems out, oh and "astounded" by the fact I manage to not have a drink most nights now. I wasn't sure whether to be flattered by the latter comment or mildly offended that she thought I had a "bit of a drink problem".
On the debt busting front, I had to talk with one of the creditors today. It's not a nice feeling to have somebody demanding money. However, instead of getting too wound up about it, I thought how good it will be when I have paid my debts and never have to worry about such things again. I will not be back in this position, even if I'm posting on here forever, boring you with tales of my dull days. By then, you'll probably be so bored of me that I'm talking to myself!
Summary:
+£50.00 Music Teaching.
-£37.00 Groceries - did wonder if some of the things we bought were really necessary when we got home though.
Yours Faithfully,
Alex.2018 totals:

Well done on the party
Perhaps you could give your parents a specific task that they could organise? Party bags, or a couple of party games? (pass the parcel?) They obviously want to help, and as long as it's on your terms it would be a nice gesture.
Glad you've had a nice day. Here's hoping for a nice (albeit windy!) weekend too.Mortgage when started: £330,995

I'm sure we can come up with a few jobs for them.We had forgotten all about party bags, looks like another expense we hadn't factored in but we'll only give them to the kids.
Today was meant to be disgusting weather wise here but it turned out quite nice (seems I really am turning into my parents ) so hoping the same shall happen this weekend as we are looking forward to a well deserved couple of days of peace and quiet.

I hate party bags - resisted for a year or two - then had to give in as all the other kids had them at parties - but its only cheap junk and even my sons weren't keen.Great opportunities to help others seldom come, but small ones surround us every day. -- Sally Koch0

Ps .. Theyre only meant for the kids ! All they need is a small sweet, like a kinder egg which has plastic junk inside, maybe some crayons, a mini colouring book, how about a nice wooden yoyo ... Look at Orange Tree Toys .... We stock their products in our shop and wooden toys really go down well nowadays .Its just a bad day, Not a bad life .. :cool:0
