Ps .. Theyre only meant for the kids !All they need is a small sweet, like a kinder egg which has plastic junk inside, maybe some crayons, a mini colouring book, how about a nice wooden yoyo ... Look at Orange Tree Toys .... We stock their products in our shop and wooden toys really go down well nowadays .
I'll definitely have a look at Orange Tree Toys. In fact you've just gave me another idea.2018 totals:

:rotfl: I was thinking of using some spare wood to make some mini jigsaw puzzles for the kids party bags.
Had a look at the Orange Tree Toys brochure, some nice stuff there; I especially liked the toy soldiers, dragon money box and the trains. However, some of it was the kind of thing easily made at home. I did notice at the end of the brochure it said "Designed in UK" which implies not made the UK? How much do some of the smaller toys retail for, Mara?2018 totals:

Mini Jigsaw puzzles - what a fantastic idea. Much, much better than throwing money at the problem.0

Have you found yourself yet another job making toys now? You are definitely on a roll. I am now even more impressed - just hope that you are impressed with yourself now too. You should be.0

I think I might be getting the hang of this money saving lark.
Seriously though, I like old fashioned toys (probably comes as no surprise), we've got quite a few toys dating back to even my father's childhood in the house.Have you found yourself yet another job making toys now? :rotfl: I don't know about another job!
I just hope that the other parents won't cringe at the mere thought of home-made toys. Son will probably have fun "helping" Mrs. K. and I make them though.
At times, I do this whole austerity thing well and in my own style ...2018 totals:
