Mara - Yes, she does. However, very little of her mileage is done "on business". I have mentioned the possibility of her using the LR a few days per week (it does nigh on 30mpg, whereas her BMW does about 20) but she's having none of it.

Today she was eyeing up a 2.8 BMW Z3 as a "second car" for her.

    "For Sale:
One wife, carefully cherished and loved for many years by original keeper. Likes cars especially BMWs or if you happen to be rich she's partial to an Aston Martin or two. Motorbikes: BSA, Norton, Triumph and Harley Davidson Sportsters. Fashion (what girl doesn't?) and shoes (ditto.). Holidays; the longer haul the better, esp. Caribbean. Works within the construction industry so no jealous types need apply and you must be prepared for her to bring her work home and talk in gibberish about thermal something or other and tensile strength into the evening. "Yes, dear" usually works effectively in these cases.

She can be good with children when she wants to be and wouldn't have the first clue how to "keep a house". However, she likes her sun and track days - what more could a guy want?

    £ Offers invited."

    ;)

    I love her really. :);)

I can tell you love her. But sometimes its easier to love than to like someone at times.

Ps .. I hate fashion and shoes and im a girl ... Albeit an older version ! Lol

But if socialising over lunch is one of the things which makes Mrs K enjoy her work and influenced her decision to go back full time it is probably more than paying for itself. If you deduct it from her wage as a 'cost of earning' then it might feel better. And on the car front, I am sure she knows how to windowshop.

Have you (both) thought about making extra coffee in the morning and carrying a flask with you instead of buying while you are out?

    Mara: I understand ;)

Theoretica: My wife has been wanting to go back to work full time for a long time now, nothing at all to do with her socialising over lunch. It was all rather complicated to be honest. I'm sure you'd all be telling me off if I were spending £35 per week on my lunch?

hahaha she does. :) However, once out of debt we are going to be buying her a second car as I have the Triumph (I say I, she uses it too).

Not thought about making extra coffee and taking a flask as I can't imagine it tastes very nice in all honesty. Perhaps I'm wrong but personally I plan to take a bottle of water instead to wherever I am going. Though my customer's often pay for my lunch, or I do through the business (the joys of being self employed).

Once out of debt you have to stay out of debt. Good luck with that Mr K.

Hope the man flu improves soon :D.
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

Mara: I agree that is going to be perhaps just as difficult as getting out of debt in the first place.

    GallyGirl: Very funny ;).
