Mara, no I don't need you to tell me that. However, can you please tell my wife :rotfl:?

She has told me under no uncertain terms that she is not willing to cut back any further. I shall stop having coffees out before picking son up from nursery or when working myself to make up for things a little, not all is lost. :)

    Saturday 5th October, 2013.
    Day 34.

    Dear Diary,

Another short entry from me due to currently feeling worse than ever. I did manage to get three things on eBay earlier. However, apart from some work things that needed to be done today has been quiet. Fortunately, neither my wife or son are ill so the household has not come to a standstill.

Tomorrow we are going to be visiting my parents, leading to my current state of apprehension which isn't really helping.

    Summary:
No Spend Day - is being too ill to go out the answer?

    Yours Faithfully,
    Alex.

Well fortunately dinner went rather well, my parents and I are at least back on speaking terms. :)

Still ill though, to be honest I'm not sure it's a cold / flu. Will probably go to the doctors if I'm still feeling this bad by the end of next week as I simply can't function. On the plus side, I should have a few more items on eBay by the end of the day.

    Sunday 6th October.
    Day 35.

    Dear Diary,

Well, I didn't manage to get anything on eBay due to being so ill I've spent the afternoon in bed. Mrs. K. managed to get a few things photographed ready for me to advertise tomorrow, though. Tomorrow is meant to be a busy day for me work wise, not sure how that is going to happen at the moment though.

Fortunately, my parents and I managed to speak over lunch, it went much better than anticipated. However, I did start to realise my father is getting older and is beginning to shy away from confrontation, he just wishes to spend time with us. In all honesty, it disconcerts me for I feel too young to have a 77 year old father in the first place and secondly, he is beginning to realise his age means that he will be very lucky to be with us when his grandson reaches his teens (his words not mine). Mother asked I "not be silly" about refusing their money, though I am still quite determined I do not wish to be their "charity donation" any longer.

On the debt-busting front, I'm still not happy Mrs. K. thinks it OK to spend £35 per week on lunch at work, when we've cut down on just about everything else.

    Summary:
    -£8.00 Groceries.
    -£71.94 Petrol - BMW.

    Yours Faithfully,
    Alex.

Does Mrs K claim back her mileage on expenses ? Could you set that off against her fuel usage ?
