:rotfl:, I could do well with not buying any more pens AT ALL for quite a while.
Now, a nice mechanical pencil for music .... hmmm I could be tempted.
He absolutely loves it and can't stop talking about what he's done and the other children.Didn't think I'd be pleased about him going to nursery a month ago but now, I kind of wish I'd let him go for a couple of days sooner.
Hoping I'm not feeling too ill tomorrow (rehearsal).2018 totals:
Savings £11,200
Mortgage Overpayments £5,5000 -
Blech to feeling poorly, i prescribe a small hot toddy and an early night.
Sounds like Mini-K is turning into a confident wee man. Well done to you and Mrs K for giving him the space to grow and develop.
I'm still on my giving up drinking during the week crusade.Early night could well be on the cards though.
He is certainly not a shy child! :rotfl:2018 totals:

Hey Alex,
Is this your monthiversary? If so, happy LBM/debt busting anniversary!
I can't believe how far you've come emotionally & financially in such a relatively short space of time, well done!

ScottishSpendaholic: Thank you.
And yes, it's been a month.
boo: I'm not so great to be honest. Went to the orchestral rehearsal, felt really tired and didn't really enjoy it if I'm honest, the repertoire was not what I expected and the other players seemed to be all VERY committed to playing their instrument ... and there was I: "Yes, well, I've not really played in nigh on six years ..."2018 totals:

Mortgage Overpayments £5,5000 -
Oh I'm sorry to hear that Alex, thought you would have loved it. Maybe you just need to get back in the swing of it?0

Wednesday 2nd October, 2013.
Day 31.
Dear Diary,
This one will be quick as I'm not feeling very well and my head is absolutely buzzing with noise from the rather unsuccessful orchestral rehearsal this evening. I might as well be honest, I didn't enjoy it; the repertoire was not to my liking and it seemed I was the only one there that had taken time off playing and didn't "do music" as a job. Still, I'm going to go next week and see how I get on when I'm hopefully feeling better.
Debt-busting has been once again non-existent. In fact, I even treated my family to a (cheap) meal out at a local pub which serves rather nice food as neither Mrs. K. Nor I fancied cooking. Business wise a lot has happened, partner has decided he is definitely leaving the company and I found out two (really) big potential deals we had on the cards for a long time are not so potential anymore - they're real and going to happen.
Summary:
-£32.75 Meal out.
Yours Faithfully,
Alex.2018 totals:
Savings £11,200
Mortgage Overpayments £5,5000 -

It was quite difficult because I was so tired by half way through that I felt physically sick and just wanted to go home.
I do think that is a part of it, to be honest and hopefully next week I'll actually enjoy the repertoire; this week there was a lot of 20th Century stuff.2018 totals:

Maybe it take a while to get back in the swing of things with the orchestral, dont forget youve got a lot going on in all directions, the last month has litterally turned your life upside down, and around.
That is brilliant news about the potential leads becoming jobs, at least now your partner has made a decision you can work forward and go from there.
Is it nursery tomorrow for Little K, hope he goes on ok,
You all take care, and glad you treated Mrs k to a publunch, you both deserve some nice time together xxxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -

"Today I haven't actually reduced my debt. However, two fabulous deals have been confirmed. The timing is great as partner is definitely leaving the business and under the new arrangement the deals will be more profitable for me and help me pay my debts sooner:T. This confirms I've made the right decision.
Orchestra could have gone better, but hardly surprising as I've hardly played for years and most there play full time. Neither wonder I felt drained! I'll find some time to practice during the week and soon build up my stamina. However, the fact I passed the audition to play with such experienced musicians means I am obviously more skilled than I realise, time to reassess my abilities, regardless of what parents think.
I can't believe I've been on here for a month. What a difference in my life in such a short space of time. Mrs K and I are working as a team, son is loving his new adventures at nursery, I'm getting some help with my depression and done a lot of thinking about things. Heck, I'm even sleeping better. Oh, and I've raised a lot of money towards my debts :T. All in all, despite a few setbacks, a tremendous amount of progress. To celebrate, we had a lovely meal out - I think we all deserved it
.
Go me!"
Now - isn't that more accurate
Hope son enjoys nursery today.A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0
