mum2one: Sounds like you had some well deserved fun.
However, sorry to hear about the car
.
I have very few memories of doing "the daft things" when I was a child. However, I'm fairly certain our son will not ... today we went "on safari" ... in the wilderness of Derbyshire :rotfl: and yet he loved EVERY MINUTE of the free afternoon out. and I did too ...2018 totals:

Big congrats on getting the place in the orchestra, knew you could do it ! See even strangers have more faith in you than you do !
Is this little K's nursery day ? I bet he's up and excited already .. Remember the little rucksack with his change of clothes ... Just in case he is over excited again.
Enjoy your day, speak to some of the pther parents, even if its just a smile and a hello , no-one can resist a smile. Its just a bad day, Not a bad life .. :cool:0 -
What is pre prep? What age are we talking about. If he settles in nursery and is happy and can still have some time with you, why does he need to change?
Am I right in thinking your parents wanted to give you everything they didn't have and thought that was by paying for it. So they don't know what going to pre prep was like , but you do. And you know paying for stuff rather than being there is not the answer. You are entitled to make your own decisions over little k. There is no perfect parents, we all just try to make the best decisions we can. And you could ask your parents to put away for his future ed and offer to start helping out on the btls for half a day a week. Just to see the shock on their faces!
And if you stop thinking of yourself as inadequate , you will stop being inadequate. Your mind seems to lead you down that route. The good thing about this diary is that you can track your thoughts and what happens just after you ve had them.
Bl*****dy h**** you got into an orchestra. That is so awesome! Draw a line onnthe past. It's how you behave each day that matters. And apart from the shirt incident, you've been a pretty awesome dude for a month now.0 -
Thank you all re. the orchestral place. Not sure it was a very good idea to audition in the first place today but we shall see.
Yes, today is nursery day, ought to make the most of it work wise as I may have done something a little stupid in regards to parents. :rotfl:2018 totals:

Pre-Prep: 5 (or just under) to 7. So nothing to do with his current nursery arrangements.
Prep: 7-13.
Yes, you are pretty much right there in regard to my parents.
Thank you, I shall try that.

Tuesday 1st October, 2013.
Day 30.
Dear Diary,
Our son's second nursery day was a resounding success which came and went without any incident or drama. Furthermore, he seems to be very excited for Thursday to meet his newly made friends. Upon collecting our son, Mrs. K. and I met a few new acquaintances ourselves. However, we did not stay long as I am coming down with another illness. Along with quite a lot of work, I managed to get in a quick half hour music practise.
So far as debt-busting goes, I've paid an instalment on the bank loan we are not behind on and the reduced credit card payments on time with the latest items we put on eBay starting to get bids we are both wondering if we can beat this once and for all. Oh and we also ate our free lunch of leftovers too!
Summary:
-£1.80 Coffee.
-£50.00 My share of diesel for LR.
Yours Faithfully,
Alex.2018 totals:
