Smart/casual really. I work in a Jobs and Benefits Office and jeans and tshirt/shirt/blouse is normal. Are you starting there as an AO?

Most of the offices I have worked in have been casual. Most people tend to make more of an effort the first few days then see what everyone else is wearing and follow suit :)

Casual will be fine, jeans t-shirt etc.
Good luck to you in there :(
  • Thanks everyone. i was asking for my brother as he is starting there as an ao in a few weeks. woodsey, have you worked there? was it that bad? my brother hasnt worked in a few years so i wont be telling him anything to put him off lol
  • I worked there before leaving on promotion - not too bad, but you can get some people on the phones giving you verbal abuse etc.
  • i thought that sort of thing would happen considering the nature of the work
  • Hi Guys, I passed a SO interview and am 3rd on a 6 month waiting list, realistically is there any hope as an external from your experiences? Also on a 12 month list for a band 7 in HSC, again anyone any experience and ideas as to how realistic a letter coming to invite for a role may be? Many thanks as usual...
  • I've just received my Access Ni Forms in the post and handed them in yesterday! So hopefully won't be long until I hear back with an offer!

That's good, hope I get mine soon, started a new job recently and not really enjoying it so it would be a godsend to be offered a position!!! Hope you hear back soon! ps what was your first choice of area to work in?
