Baby must have enjoyed the jumping.

Dozy ponyplops tried to canter away from a tractor yesterday and ended up going towards it.

    Awwww....bless her :)
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!

Lovely day. Went to local ploughing match. Dog had a great time. As did Mr Watty and I. We had to leave early as Mr Watty had to get to work so didn't get chance to have a go at ploughing or the clay shoot but good look round, lovely lunch from the farmers market and nice wander.
Home to bake a banana bread for freezer and 10 portions of squash soup.

  • Hi Watty. Brilliant progress with the jumping, you'll be out competing in no time! I had a visit from the saddler today too, very expensive with 2 bought but needs must!

  • Hello!

I'm also in the middle of a freezer operation.

I'm basically clearing it out, so I can start building it up again on a low salt basis.

Some of the things are still ok for me to eat, but there's other things with involve bacon and sausages that I won't be eating. So Mr Goldie will have to have those, and I'll buy myself some tuna instead. He reckons he's had tuna twice in his life and was sick both times. Therefore we never have tuna, so it'll be a nice change for me.

Once the freezer is clear, I'll find it easier with a clean slate to work from.

I am still recovering from buying one the summer before last! I wonder if we use the same saddler. Ours lives at Sodding Chipbury.
  • My plan was to pay off mortgage asap but as repayment interest rates were low (lowest ever in my mortgage) and my lender has a lot of small print re early repayments.
So I put the spare cash I had to repay off my mortgage into premium bonds (2 accounts) ,max amount and was waiting for the mortgage interest rate to rise before dealing with that.

Thank you premium bonds ! for all the nice (life changing) tax free winnings !.

I should have got his number, this one was from Hampshire but came highly recommended. The price wasn't terrible for what it was, the horse has done so much dressage it seems a shame not to give it a decent crack myself.
