Not sure, if I got this right, but aka mr numpty (I actually like this name, am I weird?) has a bank account with your name on it . . . so you could empty it and flee the country . . . oh, sorry, I'm dreaming, again ;):D
Sadly not enough in there to do that with ....or ... I just might. Is this a good time to confess I did try and hack his bank a/c just to see what was in there but he had changed the password :rotfl:
It was once "our" joint a/c but he now uses it as his everyday a/c and has not yet signed the paperwork to make it a single user a/c. I could empty it but I'd be liable for half the overdraft so not really worth doing. I once harboured a little hope that he might pay in a large sum I could snaffle but I think he guessed that might happen and no large sums for Watty to snaffle:(

Lovely 3 hour ride this morning round the lanes. And my win of the day was that I actually walked through an open field and then dealt with the gate at the other end. And I did not panic (open fields have been an issue for me in the past so this was a big win)

Done a spot of tidying in the office and found a parcel I meant to return... am hoping I will still get a refund but their website says a credit note if outside of returns period so will post off tomorrow and see what happens.
Filled the car with petrol and bought a magazine and a packet of biscuits ..frivilous I know but to my surprise the card on the joint account just happened tobe in my purse and well what can I say. The contactless machine had used it before I had found the right card !! Whodathunk it could happen so quick:rotfl:
I have now emptied handbag and purse, marshalled all coins and notes including my cash allowance and removed ALL cards (including the joint a/c one) and only have the account card I will be using.

Lets see if I feel more control with the new system.

Ironing done and thanks to youtube a jumpsuit altered easily so thats a 'new' outfit for me to wear! Its very bright, very colourful and definately cheerful :)

Lastly, located a box to start packing stuff up for the accountant re 'year end'. Will take a few weeks to pull it all together but I do feel quite organised..

Most of the afternoon taken up with a trip to the dentist for clean and check up. On the rollercoaster of having an implant fitted later in the year ...argh! Today asked Mr W if he would like to pay for the implant given they are not cheap and the other option is I take out a loan .... he said he "would think about it" I'll take it that is a no then :)

Drive dreadful. Like being in a washing machine! Is this summer ?

Hmm. I wonder if he needs reminding of the way that you've supported him, financially and emotionally, over the last couple of years?

I've done that. Not interested. Has the most peculiar attitude. Seems to think he has supported me

Bu88r ... thats the most astonishing level of denial - so he's *still* out of contact with basic reality :( So, slush fund, slush fund, slush fund :( My sympathies, Watty.

Oh Watty. Didn't you used to have a spotted hanky fund? Frugaldom has an EEK fund - an Everything Else Kitty. I know that these are just names/labels, but they are useful.

I do have a spotted hanky fund yes .... and I'm building it :)

Not sure if I will withdraw from the fund to pay the dentist or take the interest free loan. The interest free loan is the sensible choice - but - I just hate the idea of owing money now!
Physio this morning and paid by card. I felt so sensible handing over the card (a) knowing there was money in the account - and - (b) knowing I had budgeted for the physio session. Hip so much better so a win win all round.
Then stopped on the way home and picked up yellow sticker fish and stir fry veggies for dinner. Or maybe I'll have them for lunch ...ummm...decisions decisions :)

Lovely morning catch up with girls at theoretical business meeting but actually its a coffee and gossip session.
Visit to doctors who was somewhat astonished to be given blood test results from private doc. Previously I had got fed up with the faffing so got the bloods done independently). Confronted with this, the GP decided just to comply with the private doctor's suggestions as was easier! Plus agreed to scan hip just to check there is nothing actually wrong. I don't think there is now as physio making so much different - but- I can go for an x-ray if physio doesn't help. This will save the farce of trying to get another GP appointment at local surgery just to get paperwork for scan. Surgery now booking for 5 weeks unless you are ill enough to get yourself into the surgery and queue at 8.00 am with all the other poorly folk who have struggled in at an ungodly hour from outlying villages to find out if there is an appointment that day. So paperwork safely in handbag in case needed!

Riding lesson booked which sadly did not happen as charming cob has sores on his side from his girth. Am particularly frustrated as didn't notice until when to saddle him, which meant instructor had already turned up. Luckily she is a good friend so we had a tea and lovely natter which was nice. She has persuaded me to email the company i bought the girth from on the grounds it really isn't suitable and send pictures of sores ... as girth was £200  as was only one that we thought would work (I am still waiting for refund of £300 one that he hated ) Charming cob is so lovely that I am forgiving the expense of a girth as he is economical in all ways ... but oh if only one of the girths in the tack room would actually work (they also rub)
