I love bay-e weirdness like with the soup bowls :D

Thanks for the packing advice :) I used all my airpacks and bubblewrap recently with some large, awkward hard (brittle) plastic toys sold on bay-e. Since then I have been stalking the supermarket f&v area every time I go in for ones which are uncovered and have now amassed another box full of bubblewrap sheets :D:D I shall (try to) sell some free (but collectible) glasses first before attempting the Waterford! :D

I hope the kerfuffle with the breakage doesn't put you off selling. The ebay marketplace seems to be busier than ever with buyers.

How is Mr Watty's dad? x

Not put off at all. Just not listing as work busy! Gave a webinar this week that might have attracted new business and doing a presentation this evening to some potential folk so good but in overwhelm mode.

Dad still not good. Not really capable of holding a conversation so his antipsychotics still not working. Just such a struggle when working with people who view him as a dementia elderly man when this is just not the case. Funding for his care has now been applied for under the mental health act.
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!

Local farmer provided someone to cut the hedges down. Done in 3 hours for £150 - previously this has taken us days. So all done by the 1st March so no birds will be disturbed - and - a lovely result - he had some time left over so he trimmed a neighbours. Previously neighbour has slipped someone £30 to do that, so, neighbour popped round and gave me the £30. Win win all round I'd say :j

    That's lovely of the farmer!

Very sorry to hear about your dad. When my dad needed to go into a nursing home, my mum was very worried about him being disregarded as an old codger who hadn't lived, sort of thing - so she got photos of us, and photos of him doing different things at different times of his life, and put them over a big chunk of wall - it was a talking point for him, and proof for them that there was a real human being before them, even though he was having problems.

Watty, are you having help with the funding application? From MIND, or anyone like that?

  • We have a lovely hedge too, £100 definitely well spent in my book, as you said, it would take ages otherwise and it looks amazing! It's silly how pleased I am with it.

Good luck with the presentation, I do hate doing those types of things, but they do get easier the more you do (like anything I suppose!)
