This Time I'm Really Going To Do It

The Gardener who was supposed to be doing Mr Watty's dad's place has gone to ground after briefly dating a good friend of mine. The relationship never really started up and was a car crash from the start - just as I predicted it would be. (A lady C scenario would not be too far fetched here for those reading with active imaginations!)
Outcome of fiasco was gardener lost - so - after a few pleas on faceache and a few false starts have found fabulous chap for Mr Watty's dads place. Just been to see progress and he is doing a wonderful job. The huge garden that resembled a hay meadow has been tamed, the borders weeded and trimmed and the hedges cut. Amazing. He seriously underestimated the amount to charge us - so - after a quick chat with Mr Watty I suggest we give him an double what he quoted as the job is great and would really like him to keep the place undercontrol until dad comes out of hospital and home.
Plus as a bonus a lovely lady in our hamlet looked at the place and said it was way to much for her - but - she has weeded our garden, cleared the paths, swept the patios - wow! It looks fabulous. Now have a few spaces to fill in - and - bonus - Dad is buying me a few plants as a "thank you" for all the work.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

Oh wow! What a result! Or rather, what a pair of results!
That settles it - I've got to shut down the computer and go back outside to do some work. I may be gone some time, as the saying goes
Ooh, just seen your thing about gluten free bread and the possibility of making your own - I'd say that'd be one of the best things you could do, in comparison with store bought. The lists of additives are horrendous, and you know what, its not edible unless very well toasted. Good luck with it.Save2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Fabulous news Frayed Knot. @ldi visit planned :j
If you do buy some, please can you let me know the salt content? It might be just the thing for an occasional treat
(thanks to Frayed Knot)
I make my bread in a bread maker - not gluten free, but I use Lo-Salt to keep the sodium content down. I much prefer it to shop bought bread, altogether it has to be eaten within 24 - 48 hours, especially in hot weather as it'll start to go off. No preservatives!Early retired - 18th December 2014

Been reviewing figures given the pounds slump against the dollar and it is not a pretty picture. If there isn't an upturn in a month or two then it isn't looking good for the Watty financials.
