  • I think that's the trouble isn't it, finding a good instructor! thanks for the tips, will definitely take note of the class sizes. I've not heard of Iyengar yoga before, I wonder if anyone round here does that. Lots of food for thought :)

I offered to help coach a pal who wanted to get her own business going. I had noticed she managed to find 101 reasons for not actually starting on the building part of it, finding a room, starting working out how to get clients and so on (she is a therapist). So first session agreed for tomorrow - and - she has decided to redecorate her kitchen instead. Methinks she was not overkeen :)
Have booked a riding lesson instead. Much more fun use of my time.
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!

You can lead a horse to water...

You are right to focus on yourself. You offered her your time and help and she isn't ready to accept it so you can go and do what you want with a clear conscience. Enjoy your lesson.

  • Hi Watty, catching up on diaries and seeing how you're doing. Hope health is improving.

Getting out for a riding lesson sounds a good plan - I'm off for a bike ride shortly :T:T

Thanks. She wants to do next week instead. I'm just going to wait and see if that actually happens, bet there is another excuse. And honestly I don't mind as I have plenty to do!

thanks Tilly. It isn't really but I'm trying not to moan :) Went to the dentist yesterday and he found a cracked tooth - only a hairline crack and he suggested leaving it for this time but now I'm thinking about it and convinced it hurts. I rather wish he hadn't mentioned it! So I can add that to the constant headaches and neck pain and the shoulders that don't work and well goodness me I am rather wrecked :)

Its a hard balance between feeling like you're moaning and simply stating what's going on: but look at that list! It's a long one, unfortunately, which means that your own fun is even more important - enjoy the horseriding :)

Riding lesson was great fun. Most handsome didn't really get what was being asked of him so there was a lot of laughter as he was genuinely quite astonished that he was expected to canter on a diagonal line between two poles. bless him. Not the brightest at times :) Then lovely gossip with instructor pal, and, fixed up a day to go and watch her compete her new horse, so even more fun booked in.
Booked another lesson for next week, same time, which means having to tell pal we will have to reschedule the coaching chat - but - to be fair she hasn't got back to me so I rather doubt her commitment anyway.
