Nice morning. Went off to meet up with a few women who work in same field as me. There were 5 of us and we work in a very isolated way. So we got together for a coffee and a chat. Lovely time. And it may be the start of slightly widening my work social circle as we agreed it was fun and that we would do it again in January. As I spent so much time working alone, I am cheerful about this.
Home to dash about as seems to be many things to do! Now if only I could log on to online supermarket. Annoyingly it is refusing to allow me to do so - because - it does not like my email address. Last time it did this I used another email address, and claimed to be a new customer so had a £20 discount and free delivery. However site does not like either email address now. I could make up another email address and try for another £20 discount but I'm in a hurry and would like them just to deliver what they did last time :rotfl:
Errr ... mind you I've spent time on here that could have been used for shopping! :rotfl:

It really isn't, Watty! But that sounds painful, and tricky. Hope you're managing to get some sleep, at any rate, and heal soon.

    Thanks both.
Finally sat down with Mr Watty and explained that I think I have just worked too much and that he is the same. Not necessarily profitable work but that "busy-ness" has become to much part of our lives. He totally agreed. Sad that it was the first time in a week that we had sat down together.
I am now away for 2 days but the plan is to spend next weekend doing "the figures" and really understand where the money goes with a view to seeing what next. This has been prompted by a redundancy offer from Mr Watty's crew. On the face of it, the offer is not very good - but - it is just possible that the life benefits may mean we should consider it.
But in true MSE style we will get the spreadsheets out to really review where we are.

  • Hope the number-crunching is fruitful - can definitely understand the fight for work/money/time balance.
