Done one load of washing, hung most of it to dry in the house and put the ironing away that the cleaner's done. Dusted the surface next to my bed and tidied it so the lamp fits properly. Doesn't sound like much now I've written it down. Oh well.

  • Hello all, My dad and his wife are arriving on Saturday for a few days so I have to make sure house is perfect. Dad only got in touch a few years ago when I was 44 after parents divorcing when I was very young. I was always told my dad didn't want children and therefore it was our fault he left!! This has left me feeling I still have to be on my best behaviour with him and do all I can to impress .... sad, I know! Anyway, plan

    tonight
    make up bedroom
    ironing

    tomorrow before work
    S&S upstairs
    hoover upstairs and stairs

    after work
    S&S all downstairs
    sweep and mop floors
    cut grass
    shopping and put away
    babysit DGS

    Saturday morning
    5 mile walk with friend
shower and dye grey out of hair
    go to airport

Already looking forward to the next weekend when I can have a rest!

  • hi there:hello:

Work has been +++busy this week so flying has been minimal:( will play catch up at the weekend.

Hugs to all who are having difficult times at the moment, life is so unfair at times.

It has been extremely hot here today! It was not helped by my own central heating system kicking into gear:eek: I ended up posting a work colleague on the lookout(same age as me so fully understands) whilst I raised all items of clothing up in the air and let the fan do its work! Not a pretty sight I assure you, but it worked:rotfl:

    See you soon x

Bossy when you send any money to school put it in an envelope and write his name, class name or teachers name and what the money is for on it - ie. dinners, school trips. All money gets sent to the office and is logged accordingly. If you ever have to send a larger amount for anything pay by cheque or parentpay.

Dinner and packed lunches done. I'm shattered. It will be an early night for me.

Spent the day painting with my Dad so most of this was either null or void as the LR couldn't be done due to it being painted and I refuse to hoover as that's OH's job. I'll get him to do the hallway on Saturday before he goes to this rave thing he's planning on going to. I shall not say a word about him leaving me alone for another weekend, he spent most weekends in August away :( I don't know anyone in this city either. However, come January he shall not be using my "day off from baby" as his away days thank you very much :D

Hello, tea scoffed, washing/wiping up done, cushions and chair covers brought in from garden, dogs walked, DD's dress sewn. Her hair will wait till the morning now as DH is hogging the bathroom.

    See you all tomorrow.
Spend less now, work less later.

Bossy - this IS the way to do it! Quite often there will be a reply slip involved too - an envelope with all the details on makes it easier for everybody...
