OK I have done a few things today. I have been to the Doctor about my depression. Just to touch base and talk really.
I have just got off the phone with Stepchange and gone through my basic outgoings. I know I should do this myself but I find it easier to talk it through with someone. I have got an appt booked for 2pm today to go through a budget in more detail. I need to find out a few things - how much my gas and electricity are, and how much my AA membership is. Also am I paying for boiler cover at the flat I rent out.
It feels really scary but I am glad I am facing it.Debt paid off: £19,999 Debt remaining: NONE!!:money::eek::):j:j:j:j:j:j0 -
I think part of this is dealing with the feelings it brings up. It does feel scary like a tightness in the chest. But it will work out I guess.Debt paid off: £19,999 Debt remaining: NONE!!:money::eek::):j:j:j:j:j:j0

Sounds good. Excellent start.
With regards to gas and electric do you have any statements floating around do you think? do you have online statements you can log into to see?
If not a rough guess will do. You can always update your SOA as you go along, it's not set in stone. If you do find you've underestimated a bit you just tell them that with the prices rising and stuff you hadn't increased it enough. It won't be a massive problem. Just try and overestimate your bills slightly so you have a little bit of wriggle room rather than underestimating them and leaving yourself short as this won't help.

The tight feeling in your chest could well be stress related. If you are concerned however or it gets worse or is worse when you move (ie when going up and downstairs) then you should seek medical help.

Cool, I have found this out now.
Electricity 33.60
Gas 45.24
Home phone 14.90
Broadband is free until March 2014 then 6.99
Not sure if this is any good or not.Debt paid off: £19,999 Debt remaining: NONE!!:money::eek::):j:j:j:j:j:j0 -
You need to know where you are starting from. If that's what they are then that's what they are.
None of them seems particulaly high or anything so try not to worry.

P.S I'm sure once you've given your figures and got a plan together you will feel much better.Making my money go further with MSE :j

OK so I think it could be worse. One fly in ointment is that current tenants are moving out soon and have had to pay £70 to fix guttering which will come off their last month's rent.
