Ooh which palettes are you looking at? I was considering the Bobbi brown chocolate one but changed my mind after discussion on here. They are so pricey!

I am also tempted by TBS offer as I could do with some more cleanser

Well.... Initially I was looking at Benefit Big Beautiful Eyes, then I was distracted by a NARS palette, a ltd edition one I think (what a great marketing ploy the ltd edition is!) and then I was also considering the various Dior 5 Couleurs compacts - I've got one of those already which is in Lifting Ivory and I love it but the mid taupe shade is pretty much gone. I'm after something quite neutral - I've already a few other Benefit kits too and my Naked2 is still going strong from last year although Suspect and Verve are no more and YDK is not too far behind. Any recommendations from you lovely ladies would be appreciated, I can't wear matte shades, not sure why but they just don't look right on me so a bit of shimmer is a must! Got a wedding on Fri so I'd like a new toy before then! Off to work shortly so may treat myself to a bit of shopping on the way back - my basket was filled but not checked out also last night! It is the new MSE style shopping fix!!

Cleanser is on my list of requirements too! The bottle I'm using ATM is the only full size one I've got (I think :o) and I'm not sold on it (its a Botanics one) so looking forward to trying something else.

Booo, just gone onto JL website and the beauty discounts are no more, Debenhams and HoF the same! Tut indecision, serves me right!! I'm sure I can find some deals somewhere late on :p

Edit: Actually, even though it says it ends Fri, HoF is still showing discounted prices ATM so may need to act quickly!!

With regards to Autumn scents I am burning a Yankee Candle Autumn Pumpkin at the moment although outside it is like a summers day.

Philosophy have a couple of new winter shower gels (I think they are new), Spiced gingerbread Cookie and Shortbread Cookie - they sound yummy. I am using Hot Buttered Rum at the moment and it is lovely although Cinnamon Buns is my fave, I just wish the scents lingered though.

I'm burning YC Witches Brew in my hallway at the moment. I adore this fragrance and buy it every year though haven't been able to get hold of the wax tarts this year.

Will have a nosey at the Philosophy Christmas fragrances. Emma had the Hot Buttered Rum one last year in a gift set and she loved that one. She is also a big fan of Cinnamon Buns.
I am having an allergy patch test this week - can't get my back wet all week - it's a nightmare!

My OH mentioned a Watchdog episode last week, which had a piece on MI (methylisothiazolone). I've just been watching it on catch-up and it's quite interesting. They found a number of people were reacting to Piz Buin all day sun-tan lotion. I had exactly the same reaction to a knock-off version of it about 5 years ago, and promptly stopped using it. Unfortunately I don't have that bottle any more to confirm the ingredients, but I'm quite intrigued.

I'm currently on the sulfate-free path to see if this might be the cause of my skin condition, but though this was worth mentioning to others following a sulfate-free lifestyle with or without success, as I've noticed a few of my sulfate-free products still contain it.

Anyway, here's hoping my allergy test brings back some positive results - 2 of the 50 spots on my back are very itchy already (after 36 hours), but I don't know if it's just the tape pulling at my back a little bit, though I am pretty sure I'm allergic to Nickel, which would account for one spot.

I used to suffer really badly with certain suncreams. Unfortunately can't remember which ones. I used to come home with blistered hands (oddly didn't react anywhere else on my body). I switched to using LE sunscreen and last year used Ultrasum which was fine for me too.
Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

Do come to the Northern Quarter Craft Centre too...it's where my Studio is! :T I'm The Magpie's Daughter, and I share a studio with Lily Greenwood who does lots of gorgeous butterflies. ;)

Hi hon sadly I don't think we'll have time as we are starting the tour of colleges next weekend too. They are all on Sat/Suns over Oct/Nov.

Phew, now caught up with you all.

    Two UUs this week:-

Elemis Evening Blossom ? oil. I'm getting used to the smell of this and have more in my stash. Won't buy again once they're all gone though.

LG Spackle - small tube - have replaced this with full sized Champagne version.

A few splutterers in my bathroom at the moment : L'Oreal make up remover, Goodworks body oil and L'occitane Jasmine & Bergamot body lotion. Think I'll be replacing the make up remover with a Biotherm one that Emma trialled from the latest Birch Box. Won't need to purchase any more body lotions/butters/oils for ages.

Need to repaint my nails today as we are at a wedding reception tonight. Going to pop along to the church as well this afternoon to watch the nuptials. Think I'll go for bright pop of pink with OPI Suzy's Hungary Again.

I have a passion for eyeshadow palettes and have a few standout ones:

Dior 5 colour palette in Rosy Tan, this is a mix of shimmer/matte, very wearable daytime colours.

Naked Basics but these are matte bar one pale shimmer so probably not for you but otherwise this one is a bit of a star for me.

Dior Celebration Palette - if still available, gorgeous colours and so easy to use, also came with brow wax, primer, mascara and eyeliner.

I have the MUA Heaven & Earth, Undressed and Undress Me Too and for £3/£4 they are fantastic.

Benefit Big Beautiful eyes is a lovely set but I find the colours lean towards pink so I have to be careful with them. I think I prefer their Smokin Eyes.

For me though my absolute favourite palettes that I own are the Too Faced Naked Eye and Matte Eye palettes. They have 3 looks in them and a little how to card for each look, the packaging is so pretty. I am currently coveting the Nude Eyes and Nude Eyes at Night.

As you will no doubt have realised I have a lot of eyeshadow.

    Have a uu

Clarins Instant Eye makeup remover - 30ml, WBA and already have a full size in the stash. Have moved onto a Botanics one now.

I too love eyeshadow palettes and have bought a ridiculous amount this year. Hope you managed to place an order with the discount emsjune. I ordered a few bits last night, was very restrained! Had so much in my basket but took lots of it out. In the end I only bought stuff that I actually 'need' :rotfl: Replaced my Benefit They're Real mascara and got the one with the free mini in too. I also need some primer and was going to buy a full size The Porefessional but then realised that with the order I got a free mini size one anyway! Bargain. :T
