I am so shocked and appalled that I almost dropped my Nexus7.
:eek:That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -

Could use google calendar for you pupils to check possible dates to book.
As the tab would be WIFI only, would it store my calendar and update it when I get WIFI next?
And as I use BT, I can use their hotspots. Would it recognize BT hotspots with no prompts, and update the calendar/apps?0 -

Yes you can input things into your calendar that will then sync when using wifi.
Once you are logged in to the hotspot, just open the calendar and sync it.0 -
Ok. Then the Sync has to happen manually?0

Yes set to auto sync, plus BT have there own app to allow you to auto connect to there hot spots.
@Penrhyn, just because you own a nexus and not using it to it's full potential, it doesn't mean you appreciate the full potential of tablets.
I know plenty of people who have swapped there laptops and various other digital test equipment in favour of a tablet, due to the size and and usability.Mansion TV. Avoid at all cost's :j0 -
Indeed tablets are fantastic pieces of kit, if they suit your needs.
Great screen, portable, loads of apps, long battery life are all plus points.
As it happens I don't have one as I can't find a use for one but I do think they are very nice.0 -
If you're after a cheap tablet, the Nooks are cheap at the mo. Starting with the Nook HD 8GB for £80, which is 7". 10" version (Nook HD+) is cheap too. They run a skinned version of Android, but do have access to the Google Play store. Can be found in Argos.0
