My application for a remortgage has been accepted by my bank, that is going to make a fair bit off difference to my interest payments. However I think I am going to change on of my monthly goals. I was planning on paying off £1k from the mortgage but that was based on my challenge to halve my second mortgage by the end of December. With all of my buying it's going to be an expensive month for me and I might have to end up paying off my credit card as I'm not sure if my 0% interest applies to spends or only to transfers.
So, I think I will drop that portion from my goals and just keep plugging away at the rest.
Which reminds me - I really need to get started on those floors!Mini Challenge - Halve 2nd Mortgage by Year EndStarting: £10,000 Currently £8,142.62£3,142.62 to go!0 -
The HSBC application has arrived so that's progress. Also I have put down the first coat on my bedroom floor and have 'mostly' stuck to the food resolution. I've also made a couple of dishes.
My 'pay £1k off' though is totally shot :rotfl:Mini Challenge - Halve 2nd Mortgage by Year EndStarting: £10,000 Currently £8,142.62£3,142.62 to go!0 -
- No spending on coffees when I return to uni!
- Packed lunch and good breakfast every day, no buying food at uni!
- No evening takeaways. Meal plans are my friend!
- Finally, no unnecessary spends. Apart from petrol and stationery, there is no need for any spends.
No coffees or food bought at uni so far. Packed lunches every day, if a little boring
I have not bought any takeaway, but can't seem to stop the OH.
Unnecessary spends - I have been out for a meal twice, both for celebrations for friend, and spent under £20 each time. Did buy a pic from FS, but loaves and lilies :rotfl:
So: not a complete :A but not bad. Did win a £50 cheque for prize giving at uni, so that covers treats.0 -
Well I stuck to the food budget
the extra £50 got spent on a builder though instead of an OP
Haven't worked out my extra savings yet so will post when I do! 0 -
Well that is September over  When did that happen?
I totally failed today, I made the very adult decision to stay up til 5.30am reading my book, which meant I slept in til 8.10 (needing to leave at 8.30) and ended up buying breakfast and lunch! I felt so gutted, but now I've realised... it's October! So I did it for all of September! :rotfl:
