  • 1. August was a bad month so in September I need to overpay mortgage by £400.

    2. Finish decorating my bedroom

    3. Only get two takeaways in the month as a treat.

I'm in, has a load of stuff to get on Ebay - would be great to make £50 this month.

Not sure if it will make it into the OP pot as have just started using YNAB so getting our rainy day funds and buffer etc sorted, but any extra income will all help towards that so we can start paying extra off the mortgage.

DH does all the cooking so I don't have much flexibility around the grocery budget. Lots of birthdays this month as well, but have money put aside for that already.

So additional £50 from ebay for me please.
  • tootoo, might try the lentils in the next batch of chilli I make, thanks!

My goal is to not touch debit cards. I tend to stick to a weekly cash budget, but I keep getting caught out when I've not brought enough out with me or I've forgotten to put money in my purse altogether, so I use the debit card.

  • Hi everyone!

Of course it isn't too late Calfuray! Glad to have you on board :)

I bought milk this morning but not out of my grocery budget so no grocery spends today. Been looking at presents for OH, thinking of getting him a keyboard (he wants to learn piano but can't afford one of those!)
  • Might have to join October, poor Crunchys vet bill scuppered the month before it even started. Am already massively overspent. Good luck everyone, my mission is purely minimise damage.
