  • £6.76 spent yesterday (excluding £2 on spinach for The Girls) so the running total = £88.07

Another £14.09 spent yesterday (including an unnecessary this week spend of £3 on teabags but a) they were on offer and b) I had an extra nectar points coupon that expired this week).

    Total = £102.16

There should be no major spends this week although we are low on fruit. Mr MWC is making a Thai red beef curry for dinner using beef from the freezer. We should have most of the other ingredients in the store cupboard - any additional spends in the Thai food store will have to come from his personal money!

  • Oh I forgot how expensive this month was going to be! Am away for 2 days from today so will add it all up when I get back!
  • Kept to my 'no spend on food for lunch' (other than basic) for Friday so that's doing well :p. I also managed a shop at Aldi in the weekend and bought a few things for breakfast/lunch so I can hopefully keep to the straight and narrow this week. I've also picked up some things for my 'new dinner'. I will get some guach and sour cream at Tesco's today as well as this wasn't available.

My bedroom hasn't progressed but I do have an electrician coming on Wednesday to put up the lights so I need to make sure the floor is at least clear and ready by then. Hopefully I'll manage the first coat. But probably not :rotfl:

I have also blown all of my lights so I need to buy a whole load more. That is going to be rather expensive :(.

  • Total so far £100.29 - big shop this weekend as I need to get wine, but the following fortnight should be quite lean...fingers crossed.

After the weekend's shopping - total is £134 and a few pence.

Today is first day of uni, excited!

Have managed to only spend on stationery so far. My uni bookshop always does this amazing deal of 2 A4 notebooks, and A5 notebook and a plastic folder for £4, so got two of those. Unfortunately, have to admit to buying a pen as I did not organise properly and forgot to bring my pencilcase, which is, of course, bursting with every pen/pencil/tipp-ex/rubber/ruler you could ever need. Doh! Slap on the wrist for that.

No coffees bought so far, though sorely tempted. Again, my plan was to bring a flask in with some lovely vanilla Chai I bought at the supermarket... did I get up in time to make it? No.

Finally, lunch, I did make myself some sandwiches and took a cereal bar in, but I will probably be hungry :o Will need to suck it up, and cook something better tonight.

So, summing up, not bad, but could have been better. And only half-way through the day!

I used to do the same thing. I got around it by having a few pens secreted in other places (like bags and hand bags) just in case I forgot to bring my main collection. It saved me a few times being as I'm so forgetful

  • Another no spend on food day. No progress on the room but we have had a person sick so I've had to come in 2 hours early to provide coverage and that was when I was planning on working on it. So there's not much I can do about that.

Light bulbs have been bought but I got a good deal so it wasn't as bad as I feared. And they should last forever as well as being amazing with power saving costs.

I've also booked an appointment with HSBC next week to see about shifting my two mortgages onto a consolidated Tracker at a lower rate. I have 50% equity now and I've recently been given my Leave to Remain status so they should be ok with remortgaging. That will actually save me a fair bit - although of course I'll ensure that I actually continue to OP the same amount as previously to ensure my mortgage keep coming down!

I hope everyone else is going well?

Another £13.59 spent on groceries on Sunday (mainly fruit & veg) but I haven't spent anything yesterday or today and I've no idea how much Mr MWC spent :rotfl:

Nothing really to report. NSD today. :)
  • Wow I've had a tiring few days! Two days away walking which was fun. OH got offered a new job which means we are going to have to move, and I'm going to need a new job sometime in the next year.

I will probably end up locuming and we will likely have to go back to renting before we can buy again which will feel like a step backwards. On a positive note if I locum for a while I can earn a small fortune and put it away for a bigger deposit on the next house :)

Oh well there will be plenty of time to work all that out! Will work out my spending later on and post an update.
