You don't really sue because of harassment as it is a criminal not civil matter, you keep evidence and report it to the police.

Have you sent a letter stating any further contact will be considered harassment and reported to the police?

Is it a DCA or a Bailiff?

Have you reported them to whoever has instructed them?
Have you revoked their right to enter your property which means they are trespassing if they enter your garden (if you have one)?

    Harassment is a criminal matter.

Suing is civil and you'd have to quantify your losses firstly.

Harassment is a criminal matter and probably best pursued by the police.

Have a look at the Debt Free Wannabe board.

    In particular, this thread:

You're after compo ahhh ok :T

Courts are not the way to go. I want compo, will go down like a sack of poo, if you're under the illusion of a money chase with non quantifiable losses. The court won't like you wasting time.

To get compo from the likes of british gas, the complaints tend to go on for years, from one energy watchdog to another, when finally the person gets awarded token compensation to cover their costs, after they ignore lots of warnings.

This is a long process and the average compensation is very low, it is literally a token gesture unless you have significant quantifiable losses as a consequence.

Have you contacted the DCA firstly to discuss the issue?

Protection from Harassment Act 1997 permits civil action.
  • Am I the only one wondering if OP intends to use the compo payout to pay of their debts?
Common sense?...There's nothing common about sense!

Wrong, wrong, wrong. I don't have any debts [mortgage and debt free at 45]

I am intending to use any compo to buy a 6th motorbike to add to my collection.
