It makes absolutely no difference if you do not "need" a licence.
You sign = You are guilty and you have NO defence.
If you are on benefit income only and admit to watching TV then explain that to the magistrate. My local court will give you a £35 fine..plus costs. They never publish those cases in the paper.:footie:Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.

BBC are answerable to the BBC trust. ITV, Sky etc are answerable to their shareholders. Shareholders want profits, profits means adverts, adverts means viewers.0

Surely the BBC should be answerable to Licence Fee payers?0

You need a licence to watch TV broadcasts (programmes at the same time everyone else sees them) - whatever the device you watch them on.
If you ONLY ever watch catch-up, then you don't need a licence.
iPlayer offers both, but IIRC, there is a clear message that pops up to tell you where you need a licence.0 -
They seem to reject most of the complaints they receive.
(Let's hope they'll be a bit more responsive to my complaint).0 -
And who pays their wages, oh yea the TV Licence payerActually its Ofcom but don't let your BBC PR get in the way
However it's the advertisers and share holders who hold the power - for example you don't see many bad reviews or consumer shows on ITV these days, possibly because it's usually a bad idea to upset your customer?
And what are the commercial channels (certainly the ad funded ones) selling?
It's viewers...
Hence one of the main reasons you get little if any "niche" programming on most of the commercial stations - it doesn't pull in enough viewers.
Also people remember its very easy to spot a Beeboid, example
Their agenda is to shout down anyone that criticises the BBC, so easy to spot
Genuine members here should be asking the admins why these people are allowed to carry on like this, is the BBC really worth our freedoms?
For them its, you can call any broadcaster in the world but keep your mouth shut about the BBC unless its positive
Most other members seem to be able to have a conversation fairly well, you seem to get in the names and insinuations early and often.0 -
didn't the BBC used to have a board of governors?)...
You could easily change the name from Trust to Governors now, it would hardly make a difference would itNo, OFCOM are there to make sure the broadcasters don't breach the conditions of their licence.
And should be watching the BBC as the TV Licence doesn't fund them but you already know this don't yaHowever it's the advertisers and share holders who hold the power
Blah, blah blah, BBC good everyone else bad. Say do you still spend lots of time at Digitalspy defending the BBC?
Rather strange thing to do for someone with no connection to the beeb wouldn't you say??You are the one who consistently, and repeatedly calls people names, insults other members,
Nope but I have been factual, the evidence is here for everyone to see. Why can't we have some negative criticism about your beloved BBC?Most other members seem to be able to have a conversation fairly well, you seem to get in the names and insinuations early and often.
When you say most I take it you mean the guys who like you object to criticism of the BBCThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

Kurtis I bought a PS3 with the money I saved this year by not funding the BBC
You most likely helped the BBC pay someone off

Nice to know you can google my name (if a little creepy).
Shame like many of your accusations and "facts" you get it wrong, if 1.4 posts a day across a fairly large forum is a lot, then you may want to get a new dictionary, as your current one appears to have some issues with it's definitions.0 -

Show everyone whats wrong then. This thread is just another example that certain individuals refuse to have anything bad said about the BBCThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
