10's of k's of posts over (in several cases a decade+) isn't unusual though.
You've got over 1.2k and you've been here for just over a year (that's about 3-4 a day - which is actually higher than me on here;))...
If you keep posting here at the same rate in a decade you'll probably have 12K+ posts, does that mean you'd be unusual in have "tens of k of posts", or just that you've posted on a semi regular basis on topics that interest you?
I know people on gaming and tech forums who can easily hit 5k posts in a single year, largely talking about a single general topic*, be it a particular aspect of a single game, the hardware inside your PC, books, DIY, model making, or whatever.
The fixation on post counts is a little silly, as it doesn't mean much at all, especially when you take into account the time periods involved - 10-15 posts a day on a forum is nothing if you're discussing something, or involved in several topics (especially if you prefer to use a forum for talking to several people at once, compared to something like IRC or newsgroups, and can thus carry out an open conversation easily).
I don't know why you were banned over there so I can't comment on the "truths" you were banned for, but I have noticed the DS mods seem to ban/suspend accounts for both sides if the users get over heated, so it's certainly not one way.
*And in broadcasting the BBC is a fairly large general topic as it's involved in pretty much every format, and has a long history on both the "soft" side of broadcasting such as the programmes (of all descriptions and varieties), and the "hard" side with technical stuff ranging from everything from camera specifications, to the equipment choices in the transmitters, to testing new gear and industry standards.0 -
Will you stop it with the pitches, you know its already been discussed, the Trust is a waste of time so talk is of Ofcom taking over.
Sorry, I thought we were talking about the situation now, not in the rumoured future. Don't let the facts get in the way.commercial channels don't send me threatening letter, harass me or try intimidating me unlike the mighty BBC which cannot be criticised to a certain clique here.
I won't defend some of the bullying tactics I've heard of by them. It's wrong and shouldn't happen. Can you separate that from the services the BBC provides? Maybe not.
Also, Sky will quite happily send you threatening letters if you don't pay their bolls, and harass you in every shopping centre you walk into ;-)Oh and the insults continue, has the bad man still carried on criticising the BBCI never agree with Beeboids
You're the one calling names!I'll leave that to you, I have no issue with any other broadcaster being criticised, I'm neutral
That's utterly hilarious! You're extremely, evangelically, anti-BBC! And also quite mental if you think you can call yourself neutral in this thread!0 -
Well I am legally Licence Free. Have been since 31st March 2013.
And do you know what, I have not missed any of the bull produced by any channel since. I still watch films, Sport highlights and other quizzes from iPlayer and other providers, some of which charge a monthly fee. It is called choice.
The question that has to be justified.
How can the BBC and its Tax Collectors, justify the continuation of the License Fee today, when other, legal services are available.
