Don't mind at all, Alex, and thank you. :)

Well, I've been a bit MIA the last few days but that's because my son appeared rather unexpectedly on Saturday plus I discovered I can make a lot more money on clixsense than I had been.....so yesterday was spent watching Mr HOK3Y and my beautiful boy play minecraft while pulling as much money as possible into my account. So I have been a busy bee but I need to be as things are TIGHT this month.

Very sad to hear about Michael Schumacher this morning and hoping for a turnaround. Positive vibes, Michael! Wishing you full healing and more skiing with your family. X

As for me, I am on the train and headed into work.....rather grudgingly!! I would rather be home with my son! Not to worry, I am sure the lottery win is on its way!! :D. Actually looking forward to catching up with helpful team member but not with my email....!!!!

Wishing my fellow DFWs lots of love, luck, and strength to resist the sales!!

Whoop! I worked through lunch and have escaped early! Happy lady! Heading home to a mug of tea and my beautiful boy. Can't wait to see him.

Quiet day on the debt busting front with more going out than coming in but it's all good as I bought my season ticket before the prices increase in the New Year. :)

Hoping for a peaceful evening with lots of roadkill, w/r, and dollars from clixsense. Definitely addicted to that site now! Hopefully I can make some money tonight. Actually there's no 'hopefully' about it - I WILL make money tonight!!

  • Sounds like you're doing great! I still haven't figured out how people make so much from clixsense, I go on every couple of days but I almost feel like I'm wasting my time when I've spent half an hour on there and earned about 5p!

Lovely that you get to spend some time with your boy :)

Hiya brokekitty! If you go over to the 'Up Your Income' board and look for the 'Clixsense' thread, you will find everything you need to know there. It has changed my daily earnings from an average of $0.04 to $5!! Well worth reading the first few posts and refer back if you get stuck. :)

Off to work again this morning but only for 3 hours and then heading home to prep for my 2nd Christmas tomorrow with my boy. Still have a few things to buy but that's the beauty of having my son come after Christmas....I can buy his stuff in the sales! :D

2p found in the road on the way to the station this morning. Hoping to find some more to see out 2013 with a bang. :)

Lots of love and luck to my fellow DFWs as we kiss goodbye to 2013 and welcome 2014 with open arms tonight!

So here we are, staring down the end of 2013. What am I taking away from the last 12 months? Well, I have learned there are lots of ways to bring in extra pennies and I am currently really enjoying wombling receipts and making money with vouchers and clicksnap, pulling in a fair chunk of change from clixsense (I reckon you can make $120 a month on there for a little time each day), finding coins and winning lottery scratch cards, and Qmee. I have more than halved my debt since the beginning of the year. In January this year I owed approximately $29,000 whereas I now owe around $11,500. I have definitely learned the power of positive thinking as well as the importance of finding a job you love!

What do I know of 2014? Well, hubby and I have declared it our year - we just know that 2014 is going to be good to us. I know we will be debt free by the summer and then it's time to save like maniacs. Hopefully we will both be looking at payraises and a little good fortune in the financial arena!

No matter what, tonight I will count my blessings, say thank you for the lessons of 2013 and welcome all that 2014 has in store for us with an open heart and a warm smile.

Happy New Year to all my fellow DFWs - may all our DF dates come forward! :D

A very happy New Year to all my fellow DFWs!!! 2014 is finally here and 2013 has gone and taken an awful lot of my debt with it - and man that feels good!! I know that with each passing month I am going to get stronger financially and ever more hopeful for the future. How could 2014 not be a fantastic year for the HOK3Ys?? :D I am soo looking forward to New Years Eve this year and looking back at just how far we have come. This time next year, I will be debt free with £50k in the bank. OH YES I WILL! Gonna make it happen one way or another! :D

Having a lovely day with my boy and hubby. We've had the most delicious leg of lamb for dinner as this was our second Christmas day. I bought my son a stunning pocket watch in the sales and he was blown away when he opened it this morning. Momma did good! I have also started buying presents for next year and will go back at the weekend and get some more. There are some great deals out there and I'd be crazy not to snatch them up.

Hope everyone is having a lovely lazy day with family - we are so excited to watch the final Harry Potter movie this evening. There will be wine, popcorn, and lots of booing and cheering! :D Wishing everyone a happy evening before normality strikes tomorrow!

Happy New Year, HOK3Y, sounds like you've had a great couple of days. :)

I too hope to be debt free this coming year and to have saved £1,000 (not as ambitious as you) but gives me a challenge to make an extra £20 per week.

Interested to know how your reached your savings target (it's a bit of an odd number)?

Happy New Year to you too, Alex. :) There is a bit of a story to the savings target! I got a wild hair one day at work and decided that in 10 years I wanted more money than the business currently had sitting in their main account that day. When I checked the bank account, they had £538k.......and so I want £538,001! This will basically be my net worth at the time so when I own a home I can include its value less the mortgage.

I plan on making over £1k from Clixsense in 2014. If you're interested in checking it out, I will send you a link to sign up. Happy to help with advice also. Best of luck to you.

Sounds a fantastic goal to have.

Afraid it wouldn't work for me as my business whilst having a healthy amount of capital for what I do doesn't have a great amount, certainly not enough to make me a rich man. ;)

Please send me the link and some advice as I'm not very good with computers at the best of times. :o
