Oh thank you faceless! That's very kind of you and thank you for stopping by. I am a firm believer in the power of thinking positively - I think it works magic. I tend to find people are very positive in return when you show them your sunnier side!

Meanwhile, breaking news is that another auction has jumped and so it should be a nice little windfall from EBay this weekend......not that I would be any less happy if it was a tenner. It is all less money that I have to find and every penny is a penny that I am better off. Come on universe, pump up those final bids for me! Whoop!

There's a phone app that makes something come up on your screen everytime someone bids/watches etc. Do you have it?

Feeling proud of myself this morning. A friend invited me out for a cuppa in town this morning. This would easily have cost each of us a fiver for maybe an hour of sit down time. Instead, I invited her here with the promise of some freshly baked cheese scones and so she is coming here at 10.30am for endless tea and scones! She is worried about her pennies too and I have pointed her to this forum. This way, we get to catch up without any expense, no time limits, and the comfort of a peaceful home with sofas.

Lol! Well my lovely friend arrived about 10.30am.....several pots of tea, one round of scones, pizza, Jaffa cakes, jammy dodgers, and a bottle of cider later......and I dropped her home almost 10 hours after she arrived! Fantastic day!

I too am an eBay addict and the phone app is great! Not great for curbing your addiction but great for feeding it! You've just got to stay away from the buying bit though!

Hope you're having a nice weekend here, it's chucking it down here too so were all snuggled up inside, hubby playing his computer game, me on MSE and the hound curled up on my feet keeping them warm! Who needs heating!
