The last time I tried dancing I was described as that bad even two left feet would have been an improvement - as a result I stick to what I know I can do. Drink.

Ahh the delayed on set hangover, those are sneaky !!!!!!s arent they!

No news today, but I am about to get changed and go for a run so there's always time for me to do something stunningly stupid. :D

It was no hangover at all. :D I even felt better that day than I do normally - though I avoided eating large meals. No sense in tempting fate after all...

Well, you enjoy yourself - and don't do anything that'll get you on the local news...

Yup it would be the food causing the hangover....always the food. :p

Dont think I got myself on the local news, although its easy enough to get in to the local paper, just phone them and they'll bulk up the transcript and publish it. Recent big news included the man from the south who was fined for dropping a cigarette butt and claimed never to have broken the law in his life (because littering isn't breaking the law), and the fact that the local water company tarmac'd half a road after digging it up which upset the residents because it was an unadopted road and they refused to pay to get the other half done so it looked stupid, or even the local chav estate having a street party for the first England game - with one pillar of the community stating that if anyone tried to drive down the (main) road during it they'd be "having" them.

You'd be surprised how much isn't. Kid gets done for arson, and there's always the mother on the news saying "He's a good lad - never gets into trouble..."

I think the Kray Twin's mother expressed similar sentiments.

It depends which half. Gravel and then 30 yards of tarmac probably isn't too bad. Tarmac and gravel running side by side like a civil engineering Brazilian - that's not so hot...

    A really salubrious area then?

It was the side by side option. But the complaining to the council was highly amusing, what with it being unadopted and the statement from the water folks saying they'd contacted the residents association to see if they wanted to chip in to get the whole road resurfaced rather than just the part dug up made good and they'd not responded.

Its a great area if you don't mind bars on the windows and not leaving your car outdoors until the locals get to know you.

Bars as in "long pieces of steel" not "places where alcoholic drink is available" ? I have seen both...

When I lived in the Greater Manchester area (why greater? Is there a lesser-spotted?), I lived in rather a grim area. I sometimes look at the crime statistics there just to make me feel better... :rotfl:

    How was your run?

As in long steel pieces, if it was places to get a drink I'd already have moved there!

Not too bad, did 4 miles in 48 minutes longer route than normal with a mixture of road and footpaths, things I should have done but didnt include take water and wear sunglasses - wiping flies out of my eyes every 10m was incredibly annoying and it was rather warm to not have water with me.

Just spoken to my Mum, apparently the older classes at her school are going out on Sunday for their annual walk to Rivington Pike and Folly, somehow I've been voluntold to go help out....yeah I can see that going well, me plus roughly 60 9-11year old kids out on the moors for most of the day. Probably a good job they don't plan to walk near the reservior really.

I keep telling you - you want at least some quality in your alcohol... ;)

Actually I saw someone buying Asdaprice lager the other day. I presume she had a slug problem...

Well, you know for next time. How do you carry water? Do you have one of those runner bottles or a bumbag?

I've a couple of different sized hand held bottles. Just need to find them from the back of the cupboard.

I hope so, am relatively sure than the own brand lagers aren't safe for human consumption.

You'll have to remember to do that before the next burst of half-decent weather.

Not just "own brand" - but cheaper-than-water own brand. They burned witches for possessing brews less evil than that...
