Yup more of the same at work today, on the upside I opened the last two weeks payslips and I got paid holiday pay for the day I had off sick when I wasn't expecting to.

    Well that is good news.

The downside of the day at work is that they've decided to do a World Cup promo and I was conned in to holding the sign and having a photo taken which is now on the company facebook page,

Take it as an upside - you're now "the face of the company".

looking at the other photos on there the rest of the female staff were clearly able to run and hide from the graphics bod with a camera.

Probably they too had their face on the Facebook page at one time - then grew wise... :rotfl:

No I suspect it's more that they were able to leave their desks when they saw him coming, although he was weilding his phone as a photographic device not the usual SLR which I'd have thought would have made him less obvious than normal

Oh yes and I'm back in work next week :D

They're probably wise to that too. :rotfl:

Plans include sleeping, feel like thanks to the hayfever kicking in and the warm weather I'm still knackered from last weekend. So the plan is drug myself up with anti histamines and snooze out in the garden if the weather is good or on the conservatory sofa if it isn't. :D

You up to anything interesting Z?

Not really - Father's day on Sunday, so I'll be popping along to the parents' for that. Unfortunately I've been ill the past fortnight ("gastroenteritis" according to the doc) so I can't really go far - which is a shame, as I'm feeling a bit cabin-feverish.

Lying in the garden seems like a good idea though - just a shame I've nowhere to stick a hammock in this garden.

I'd forgotten about Fathers Day, might have to visit the shops tomorrow and get a card, or hope Dad's forgotten too.

Go to the shops :p. I've not been able to get out much for 2 weeks and I still managed.

He may have. But he won't forget when all the "Father's Day" stuff appears cheap in the supermarkets next week...

Yeah it was absolutely what the Bride and Groom wanted for themselves and having spoken briefly to the bride today she said it looks like it was exactly what they wanted for their friends to enjoy too.

Noone got stupidly drunk, noone to the best of their knowledge fell out and even the hour one of the parents had to be absent didn't spoil the day although it did delay the speeches slightly.

Just been working out my next weekend of fun stuff, and it appears that right now that would be every weekend in July.....

First weekend Color Run in Manchester (yes they really do spell it that way!)
Second weekend my best friend from Uni is coming down to see me and our friend from southern manchester (I think my Dad's away that weekend so will suggest they both stay here).
Third weekend is the Great Manchester Swim - really need to start training for that!
Fourth weekend am off up to Scotland for a housewarming/official end of employment party for a military friend, that one is likely to result in a hangover so am planning to book train tickets using the refund I got from the delayed train back from London.

I'm sure I told the people I'm working with at the moment that generally I don't really go anywhere or do anything. It sort of looks like I lied looking at that lot.

As I mentioned it in the last post.

Today I got the voucher refund for the very delayed train back from London, £47.

Also another book to read and review, I'm looking at the pile of unread books with some trepidation as they seem to be trying to take over my floor just now - this working thing really does cut in to my reading time.
