Good news!

Car still isn't back so tomorrows work clothes are my interview clothes, and shopping trip to happen on Saturday.
The agency have said someone from there will give me a lift in tomorrow morning so they can introduce me to the client and I'll be spending the day with the girl who does the job at the moment. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Day went well, not exactly alot of things to remember to do but alot of people to remember who they are and what they do while directing calls, I think once I start getting used to that I'll be ok.
Still no car, they're now saying monday which is a pain as I'll need to get the train to work now which means I'll be lucky not to be late given the trains are so frequently not on time in a morning.
Going to walk down to a Matalan tomorrow to pick up some work clothes since after rummaging in my wardrobe the dresses I though would be ok are far too big and most of the trousers which might fit need hemming. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Can you take the earlier one? Just this once?scubaangel wrote: »Going to walk down to a Matalan tomorrow to pick up some work clothes since after rummaging in my wardrobe the dresses I though would be ok are far too big and most of the trousers which might fit need hemming.
Have your legs shrunk?

Nope the 'earlier' one is 10 mins earlier and the one my Dad tries to get - last week it was cancelled four of five days and the 'second' train was 10 to 15 mins late on each of those days, which would mean I'd miss the perfectly time change and end up on the train 30 mins later, making me at least 10 mins late for work given its a 15 minute walk from the station to the work place.
I think I've heard all the excuses they have - parts not arriving, short staffed, equipment problems. All of which I could have accepted had they bothered to call me and warn me it might have been delayed from the original completion date of Wednesday before I had to call them Weds afternoon.
Legs haven't shrunk the hems have come unstitched so need rehemming so they don't look a complete mess - and as Mum's on holiday for a couple of weeks I don't have access to a sewing machine to try and sort them out (hand stitching isnt an option as thats what I did last time as a temporary measure). I could also do with a pair of brown shoes to wear as two of the pairs of trousers are brown rather than black. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Hey thanks guys it was indeed my birthday.
Had a lovely day at work which was so hectic I barely had time to breathe between calls, and a peaceful evening at home with Dad, we plan to do something over the weekend to celebrate my birthday and his.
Got my car back Tuesday night, and got it MOT'd today so have paid for my tax online, just need to make sure not to park up in a public space until the new disc arrives, thankfully works carpark is a private one. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Feel like I've been MIA for ages!
Work is still going well, got at least a week to go but could be up to another couple of weeks after that.
Booked my trains for next weekend, decided to treat myself to a first class upgrade both ways - means I'll have access to the free wifi on the train and won't be paying for food and drink so will save me as much as I've spent on it near enough (Virgin so free drinks, snacks etc and am travelling over 'tea time' after work), plus as I'll have the wifi and a plug I can attempt to earn some pennies on the lappy while I travel.
Trying to work out the best way to get to my friends hen party the weekend after, at the moment I think that'll be a train job too, but no matter how I travel I'm going to miss most if not all of the Friday night plan although if the agency get in touch to confirm if I'm still needed that week I might ask if I can do a half day instead of asking for the day off totally. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.
