Car was picked up to be taken to the body shop this morning, just hoping I'll get it back fairly quickly.

Finally received the Cups and Saucers I won via a Twitter comp from Portmeirion this afternoon, they're lovely but the shine has been taken off the win somewhat by the fact I've spent a month chasing for them, but it's just in time at least for Mothers Day as Mum, Aunt and I are going to see Nana in the home and have a little tea party with her, so the new cups will be coming with us. :D

Good news today, applied for three jobs last night, one phone call this morning = an interview tomorrow, a random faceache message from a friend because she does the job I've applied for at another so will put in good words with the manager, and nothing from the other. Although I did get a rejection from one I applied for a couple of weeks ago which is nice, acknowledgement is so rare!

It's a sad state of affairs where you're wanting even a rejection.

How did the job interview go?

And to balance out the last post, yesterday ended rather badly.

My car is currently minus one wing mirror and a considerable quantity of paint from the drivers side thanks to some !!!! driving too fast and over the centre line who then didn't feel the need to stop.

    :grouphug:

I hate it when that happens. When it happened to me, it was on a narrow country lane, which was too narrow for me to turn around in and chase after him.

Hopefully I'll be getting my car back this week, I've been struggling to find mystery shops to do as most of the ones I tend to do require the car to have any realistic hope of getting them done.

Been thinking about a working holiday visa to either Canada or Australia - I figure give up on the 'good job' plan for now, find any job I can get and save until I've enough in the bank to cover at least a years worth of minimum payments along side visa, flight and some emergency fund costs.....possibly one to discuss with my parents since it would mean my stuff being abandoned at their houses for quite some time longer unless I sold the bigger stuff.

Had an interview this afternoon, spotted a job online advertised by an agency I've worked for in the past over night so gave them a call this morning. I've got a trial shift on Friday and all being well start properly on Monday for about 4 weeks.

Thanks I'm so pleased, the agency are lovely people (weirdly for an employment agency!), when I worked for them a few years ago I found they were really good, and when I called this morning they said they remembered me from back then.

Apparently the company has a history of taking on temps then extending contracts or offering permanent jobs to people they like, but even if they don't or I don't like it there I've got a bit of a filler in the hole in my CV and am back in touch with the agency.

Thanks Z, it's a relief as I was beginning to wonder if I was ever going to get a job.....

Of course this does now mean I need to go buy some clothes to wear to work, everything I've pulled out of my wardrobe is too big, or just old and tired looking - so all being well car back tomorrow, MOT booked for Thursday and then get it taxed before taking a drive out to somewhere like Matalan to pick up some work clothes which fit.
