Oh yes? What were you up to?scubaangel wrote: »The upside to that was getting out for a run first thing this morning before I went to sleep for a few hours, and then a second short run after I woke up again - and it wasn't raining while I was out either time. It'll make you soft.scubaangel wrote: »Need to talk to my sister about the waterproof MP3 player she has see if she recommends it, as I think I'm going to need something to help me focus once I start swimming for more than 30 mins at a time - I find thats when my attention and interest in the swim starts to wander to the point its hopeless me staying in the water.
Is when you lose interest in swimming about the time you get that sinking feeling?

Not alot, hence it was so puzzling, we watched alot of Olympics coverage, she's injured so we couldnt go out running/swimming like we would have done normally, and because of the painkillers she was on we didn't drink.
No time to get soft, the blue bits have been firmly covered over by varying shades of dark grey again.
I don't sink, I'm one of those people who are naturally neutrally bouyant until I breathe in.
My sister likes hers so I've bought one decided not to shell out the £100 for the new model so have the Speedo Aquabeat 1.0 4GB for £40 of my amazon vouchers. Not used it in the pool yet but the sound quality through the supplied earphones is decent, sister said that as long as the buds are firmly in your ear it's fine although if water gets in it starts sounding muffled. Not sure she appreciated my asking if it sounded like listening to music through water though. :rotfl:It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

I was replying to this last night, when I had a power cut. Wonder if that's the opposite of being struck by lightning...scubaangel wrote: »Not alot, hence it was so puzzling, we watched alot of Olympics coverage,
It was watching all those men in tight spandex. Tired you out..scubaangel wrote: »I don't sink, I'm one of those people who are naturally neutrally bouyant until I breathe in.
Well you have the advantage over me then. I sink until I breathe in. So provided I can hold my breath all the time, I can float all the time...scubaangel wrote: »My sister likes hers so I've bought one decided not to shell out the £100 for the new model so have the Speedo Aquabeat 1.0 4GB for £40 of my amazon vouchers. At least you didn't ask if it sounded all classical when that happened."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

Hmm that could be it, although as my friend is Canadian we watched alot of ice hockey and there's no so much spandex in that sport.
Used the Aquabeat now, I likes it, bit of a pain fixing it to my costume shoulder strap as the clip is too small, but it's great on my goggle straps when its centred at the back of my head, and my hair is out the way. Need to walk to the post box at some point today to send my form for the Macmillan fundraising kit, including a swim hat and a t-shirt, although in the past unless its one of the thicker silicone hats instead of the thin latex ones it won't last too long but as thicker swim hats are usually around £5 each a thin one even if it only last a few swims will be saving me from having to spend more pennies.
Got a handful of draft reveiws written on ciao ready to post, and a review posted on both ciao and dooyoo. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

New product added to the ciao catalogue and the review is up, thanks to the two I've reached cash out again so am expecting a little over £5 to arrive in my bank accountin the next few weeks.
I've also got the wedding invite for my friend down souths wedding in summer so need to find a cheque book to send the RSVP along with the money to pay for a hotel room for the night - they've arranged a group discount which is much cheaper than any other hotel/B&B within walking distance of the reception venue. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

That's very nice of them!
It's getting far too often now, that people say "We're getting married in Goa, and we want you to attend. What? It's only a 12 hour flight and £2000 - what's the problem?""Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

It's not so bad, they're getting married in his family church, and the Reception is in the next village over, they've arranged transport from the hotel to the Church and then back to the Reception venue. For some reason most of my friends have stuck to weddings in their home towns or just done the exotic beach thing for just the two of them and close family.
Had a rummage in the boxes of my things in the garage earlier, have retrieved the boxes of books and DVD's I planned to get rid of but were moved anyway so am about to go spend an hour listing them on amazon/greenmetropolis.It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Well friends and collegues have been similarly grounded, but Family (on both sides) have Pretensions... :eek:scubaangel wrote: »Had a rummage in the boxes of my things in the garage earlier, have retrieved the boxes of books and DVD's I planned to get rid of but were moved anyway so am about to go spend an hour listing them on amazon/greenmetropolis.
Just the usual stuff, or something a bit unique?"Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

They're one of those incredibly down to earth thoughtful couples, and sickeningly in love and have been as long as I've known them - I'm still waiting for one of them to have a bridezilla moment or do something even slightly selfish, but I suspect it's going to be a very long wait.
Thankfully as far as family goes with any likelihood of marriage I only have my sister or myself to worry about, and as neither of us have ever had any interest in the idea of getting married I don't see that it would ever become an issue.
It's all just the usual stuff, the as expected none of it is worth putting on amazon, but I figure I'll start sticking the DVD's on ebay for less than 99p, if they sell then great if not after a few relists I'll charity shop musicmagpie/zapper/cex them. The books I'll stick on greenmetropolis and then shove the boxes out of the way behind the sofa, again if they sell they sell if not at some point I'll either carboot or charity shop them. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Handful of DVD's on ebay, 50p starts and postage to cover the costs, as even after fees if they sell for that I'll make more than mm/zapper/cex.
Also just logged in to my dooyoo account to find the review I wrote the other day has been awarded a crown (and the bonus miles) thanks to people recommending it. First one since I got back in to review writing on there so am chuffed.
Got some mystery shops booked, one tomorrow with my Aunt, one Thursday and another next Tuesday. Need to look for some others to fit in with the Thursday one as its in the city not my local town so the more work I can find the more profitable the day out will be.It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.
