Did todays run at the other reservoir, was pretty busy, but I'd forgotten that although its not too muddy when the water level is high parts of the path flood.

Given that a reservoir has a regulated water level and so should never actually flood - that's a fair oversight...

So my run resulted in me getting back to my car with legs soggy to the knee, as a couple of the flooded parts were ankle deep - though I think I was in a better position than the bloke walking in a suit and work shoes!

I think he'll have turned back.

Am also certain that the supermarket staff and customers were slightly confused by my walking around leaving wet foot prints. :D

What were they expecting? Or did they think you were a mermaid? ;)

This ones the first in a chain of four, built to prevent the village I live in flooding, in theory it has no public access footpaths around its perimeter, in practise the water board caved years ago and built paths and bridges, but built them too close to the actual water level instead of using the slightly higher land 10ft further back from the edges.

Where I saw him he was already 2/3 around it and had got through the shallower puddles on the opposite banks path ways, if I'd seen him a 1/4 mile further back I'd assume he was rejoining the old 'pilgrims' path up to the moors as there are car parks a mile along there too.

It hadn't rained until this evening in the village so I guess someone wandering around in running tights and an over sized hoodie leaving wet foot prints wouldn't be the most usual sight. Then again round here people wearing sports kit and actually doing exersize isn't usual either.

It depends on the exercise though. Round here, someone wearing sports gear and doing a spot of kebab lifting isn't unusual at all.

But that only counts if its balanced so you're working both sets of arm muscles.

Been to see Nana this afternoon, she spent most of the time sobbing that we abandoned her and don't want her home any more and she hates the home because they don't let her do anything - this because they made her stay in bed this morning because one of her legs is very swollen and they didn't want her moving around until the Dr had seen her as it's on the same side as her mastectomy 20 years ago so could have been lymphatic, its also the same side as her hip replacement and generally weaker. Having seen the Dr they think it's DVT but recommend not to treat it as blood thinners are likely to cause more problems with her heart.

That's what the can of lager is for - a balanced diet.

    Happy new month.

Been slightly MIA for a few days as I've been attempting to have a life - went over to north Derbyshire on Weds to see the City match at a friends local pub, he then came up here on Thursday to do the pub quiz. Yesterday I was mostly a little bit hungover and very tired.

Just had a slightly scary moment.

The shampoo and conditioner lakes are dry! This means that I actually have to go buy some more. Or rather will do when I remember or the freebie sachets I have in the box run out.

Possibly need to do a stock take of the toiletries boxes to check if there's anything else I'm running low on. I know there are a few shower gels, and more shaving gel than I'll use in a year but not sure about anything else.

Going to Mum's Nana sitting over night tonight so am taking my netbook as well as my lappy and planning to spend the night wiping it as even though it isn't often used it seems to have alot of stuff on it I never use and it'll most likely run faster if I clean it up. Need to do the lappy too but it'll take considerably longer.

Netbook dealt with, while I was waiting for it to finish off I decided to order myself some more shampoo and conditioner, £2.28 each for 900ml Tresemme ones from amazon and thanks to my gift voucher collection it'll cost me nothing this time around.

Just signed up to do the Great Manchester Swim in July, this means I have to now buy a swimming wetsuit as my diving ones I know from experience aren't flexible enough - will probably visit Decathlon to try some on then buy on amazon with my vouchers.

Two fairly intensive mystery shops done and written up yesterday, I have a merchandising job to do tomorrow and think I might go for a run around another different reservior afterwards if I've not been for a swim in the morning.

The amazon shampoo and conditioner order arrived this morning, very impressed as I only got the dispatch emails last night.

As it was delivered while I was out it was left at Mum's house, leading to a slightly weird conversation where she claimed not to be able to visualise what just short of a litre of shampoo or conditioner would look like. :/

Applied for a couple more mystery shopping jobs, so hopefully will result in more pennies heading in to my bank account.
