Some of these replies are honestly pathetic. Just because the Poster is a Jobseeker you instantly look down on them and criticize them? So what if they need it for a Sky Box? I couldn't care less if they wanted £300 for a fancy weekend away somewhere, they're entitled to applying for a Budget Loan as much as anyone else on Jobseekers and they correctly said they will be paying it back. A lot of you need to get down off your god damn high horses. The posters parents have probably worked all their lives in this country and paid taxes, so who the hell cares? I don't. Please apply for more than the £100 and enjoy yourself.

    Peace.

Thanks I did, I applied for the max, just heard back today I got the max of £348 :j

do you ever read the thread before commenting? as you seem to always jump in feet first and get it so wrong.

If you had read the thread you will see I get FREEsat from a sky satallite dish, the clue is in the name FREEsat I do not pay for it but it still needs a box to run it.

I think you need to look at your number 3 post because you clearly state you need a loan for your sky box, so which is it freesat or sky box? not both same you know

Sky do freesat it's called Sky freeview, so call it what you want but the fact is it's FREE.

Good I'm delighted for you. Enjoy it!

Don't forget to re-apply in about 6 months time for the same amount whether you need it or not, its nice to have an advance in benefits :)
  • My husband is 58 years old and redundant for the second time.
We'll be keeping our Sky on JSA.
    He doesn't drink or smoke.
What people spend money on is their own business.
    Leave the OP alone!

Very fair point, just because people are on JSA doesn't mean we should be living in houses with no luxuries or nice things. Its funny how people moan about the Original Poster getting a Sky Box but don't even consider the millions who spend their JSA on drugs & alcohol. Home improvements and luxuries are essential for mental health more than anything.

I said a sky box not a sky subscription, you jumped to the conclusion I was paying Sky for a TV package.

As said Sky do a free service so jumping to conclusions sometimes catches you out.

Thanks, just returned the signed paper work, as soon as it lands in my bank I will have a little treat, hopefully I will have a job by then but yes I will be applying again if I don't have a job by then
  • Why wind people up? Does it give you pleasure?

I know people who cannot apply as have debt issues so are paying for a launderette whilst you brag of getting x5 times the value for TV.

Your post was antagonistic and the only people truly wound up are those who are most in need.
Tomorrow is the most important thing in life

how am I winding people up?

sorry but I would need a little more than £348 which will take me over a year at £7+ a week to pay back, add a couple of zeros then yeah it might just make an amount worth bragging about.

BTW I can not afford to go to a launderette, if I was so broke that I thought someone that got a budgeting loan for £348 was bragging, I would not be spending money on launderettes but washing my clothes in the sink and using the money for food.
