Car dented in car park again.

Totally understand people's frustrations. I only have a Nissan Micra but I've got a dent repair man out 3 times in less than a year.
Thankfully in my supermarket there is one spot I can usually get that is all by itself (next to trolley park away from entrance). If this isn't available then sometimes a spot where only one car can go next to you to minimise risk.
And yes the obvious things of avoiding chavvy, family cars, 4x4s.0 -
No-one parks next to my £500 / veg oil stained banger unless they have too.
What am I doing wrong?0 -
Of course you can't control who will come and park next to you, but as well as parking well away from the entrance to a supermarket I avoid parking next to 4X4s, cars with kiddy-seats, and 2 door cars.
2 Door cars have bigger doors to allow the rear seat occupants easier access, but they usually haul themselves out by hanging on the door and shoving it hard against the car parked next to them.
+ Old people who think they're immune and can do what they like.
+ Disabled badge holders that have been forced to park in normal bays (they need more room to get in/out)
I once watched an old dear park in a space between two perfectly parked cars, she parks in almost diagonally, opens the door into the car on her right, scowls at their bad parking, then repeatedly slams her door into the car several more times (hard), before locking her car and walking off mumbling about people in fancy cars not parking properly.
I left a note on the car, but heard nothing, this was a few years ago.
The only way to be safe is to park away from the store and away from areas where people park for free to go wandering into town.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

Reminds me of the time when on a Sunday morning there was only two fitters working on maintenance in the local factory.
The first one parked opposite the entrance door in what was a quite large car park.
The second one duly arrived and parked next to the first managing to take the wing mirror off as he did so.0 -

Nobody parks next to my £400 Honda Accord.
Are we being discriminated against?0 -

Oh yes they do. I was sitting in my XJ8 once when a lady parked next to me, opened her door against my car, came back with a parking ticket, opened her door to put the ticket on her windscreen bumping her door edge again into my car . I remonstrated saying that one bump could be accidental but two was clearly careless. She was astonished at my attitude.
"It's only a car"
Really winds me up, usually they're driving a fairly new motor too. Basically if it ain't brand new, then to them it's a shed.
Number one reason why I decided against buying a MK1 Ford Escort (or one of many classics i've drooled over in the past), it might be £20'000 worth of car, but to the average person it's a worthless lower class shed.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

I just bought a new car (new to us), nothing special just a 2007 C-Max.
I parked up at Tesco's to do a little shopping and had to sit in the car for a little while as my son had fallen asleep and I wanted to give him 15 mins. As there were no parent and toddler spaces I parked in a normal bay.
As I sat there a scabby old Ford Transit van parked next to me, he clocked me as he was getting out and, even though he struggled, he managed to get out of his van without hitting my car with his huge rusty door.
After he'd gone into the store I moved my car into a different spot away from other car, I actually found a bigger spot next to a trolley bay. I couldn't help thinking that if I hadn't sat in my car, he wouldn't have been so careful.
I make a point of never hitting anyone else's door with mine, regardless of how old, or new, their car is.0
