Hi everyone ,
My wife parked carefully as far away from everyone as possible , they was no car next to her , she returned back a few hours later and a VW Tiguan was parked next to her and a nice crease in her drivers door where the owner had clanged the door against her freshly valetted car , she waited in her car for quite a while hoping the owner would return but they did not . When she arrived home , she showed me the photos and I called the car park and explained the position - as I expected they don't think the cameras are working and there is not really anything they can do , just take your £5.00 for a ticket . I then rang the Police and asked if they could put me in touch with the owner of the VW and was told we can't do anything because of data protection ....
Sorry to rant on this but this is about the 8th time this has happened to one of my families cars in the last few years and it is driving me mad , I am sick of running up bills with the Dent Magician and Bodyshop . We love and care for our cars and I am sick of this happening - has anyone else got any ideas how to stop this as I am sick to the back teeth of it .
Thanks for listening !

make a claim on your insurance if you worried about small bumps and that0

I find if I park away from other cars, some plank will park really close next to me. So what I do is park with the other cars, avoiding 4x4s and cars with car seats in the back, at least you then have a bit of choice who you are next to then. I don't have any parking dents in my current car yet (touch wood).
You haven't mentioned what car you have, is it quite wide or susceptible to dings. I had a Rover as my first car and that picked up dings far too easily, same story for a Punto courtesy car I had.0 -
The secret is to get the first little dent and do not get it repaired. From then on a few more cease to be a worry.0

It's an unfortunate fact of motoring life that cars will get dings and scrapes - we don't live in a perfect world where everyone treats other peoples property with respect.
You can get insurance policies that cover you for 3 dent repairs per year. The man without a signature.0 -
Eight? I'd cover your cars in pillows!0

Would something like this do? http://www.cmgdistributions.co.uk/
It's magnetic and you put them on once you've parked and take them off before driving away.
Absolutely no idea how good that stuff is btw, just found it after a quick Google
Edit: so not far off covering with pillows :rotfl:Now free from the incompetence of vodafail0 -
It is an Alfa GT, and yes I am considering pillows ! it is not a little dent it's quite a big crease .0
