  • Out of stock in my area. Anyone know how it compares to this vax currently £30 from Amazon? Gets good reviews...

Rubards - it looks very similar to me and probably does the same job, I have only used mine once and am impressed but wouldn't pay anymore than £30 for it. So that one could be a god choice.
We're just happy to have a home, a family and our health. Whatever else is just added and it fits. :)
  • My husband has told me to take it back, he says it works okay but no better than a mop and bucket which he pointed out doesn't require expensive consumables unlike the Vax.

What consumables does it require? The main reason I'm considering buying a steam mop is that it only uses water and not chemicals. I know there is a Vax which can use detergent but even so if you filled that container with water also it would no doubt work without the need to buy anything extra.

Is it your husband that uses the mop & bucket?

I would say absolutely not - the steam would damage the wood. Think hot cup on your best dining table!
  • I use a bit of ironing water mixed in with water in mine makes it smell nice and a fraction of the cost of the vax cleaning soloution.
