also ours is a wooden laminate flooring so will it work - don't want the wooden laminate to come out due to steam .. thanks

Box is 28 x 18 x 71 cm and weighs 3.8 kg. There was a post earlier in the thread about using on laminate flooring.

I don't think so. I walked quite a way back to the car park with mine on Saturday and it isn't at all heavy.

  • I love a good bargain. A friend told me about this and I rushed out and bought one of these. I thought it did an okay job.

I asked my sister if she would like one because she's had her steam mop for a while. She told me that she didnt rate VAX steam mops. She suggested that I try out her steam mop! After trying out her steam mop I have now come to the conclusion that this isn't such a great steam mop. It's ok for the price, but I wouldn't have paid the RRP. Now that I have tried my sisters steam mop I know that I could get one that does a much better job at cleaning the floor.

If you are on a budget then great, if you are willing to pay a little more then do, because in terms of cleaning, there are better steam mops out there.
  • If you're gonna do that sadiej, at least name the mop you consider to be better. Otherwise it's useless information.

Agreed as for our tiles floors this is really very good!

It definitely does an okay job, for the price. Lets face it, how much would you pay for manual floor cleaning equipment, i.e mop and bucket or the like? No messing around with buckets of water.

Spill the beans then. What is your sisters steam mop?

Exactly. It's a brilliant buy for £25. It is, what it is. If you want a super duper all singing and dancing steam mop, you pay for what you get? or you get what you pay for.

Regarding the Vax Microfibre Cleaning Pads, i purchased the last 6 packs from one Sainsbugs yesterday, priced £1.99 per pack. Total spend £11.98 for 12 original Vax pads.

There are some still to be had, but there's some work involved, finding them. I rang a store who did a stock check of all the stores, which showed some stores had stock they weren't aware of, (and it's definitely not out on the shelves.)

Finding their stock, is a different matter, but i'm very grateful for the above and beyond service from one stores customer service.

    Thanks Sainsbugs :)

I looked at B & M's microfibre cleaning pads, and was covered in white blobs from them. Maybe not such good quality?
Fred - Where's your get up and go?

Barney - It just got up and went.
