No news yet :(, it really hurts not knowing where he is and wondering if he's ok :(. We've asked the postman to keep an eye out but he was about as much use as a chocolate teapot, just basically said no . Neighbours haven't seen him but are keeping an eye out. Our pet insurance has agreed to cover the cost of a poster campaign which includes 25 laminated anti vandal and theft posters, 200 leaflets, free phone number etc. We phoned round local vets (even though pet log sent an alert, wanted to be sure) he's in lost and found books. We've offered a reward.

Just need to keep hoping :(.

:( I know it doesn't help you but hopefully he's just found someone else's lap for a little while and he'll return when he's bored.

I'm so sorry he is still missing. One of mine went back out at about 6ish last night and I was expecting him back when I returned after eight and he was nowhere to be seen. I went into right panic mode but he had been enjoying himself in the nearby field hunting no doubt.

How long has he been missing for now? What kind of area do you have around your home? many houses, main roads, fields etc?

I wish that were true but unfortunately I think it's doubtful :(, while he is a bit friendlier than my other cat he's not a lap cat and has never sat on our laps longer than a few seconds, I put it down to his young age and high energy levels. He likes being stroked but not all the time, and he tends to run away from strangers. He could have been stolen I guess :(, I don't really want to think about that but it's a possibility, he's not violent and would probably be easy to grab if someone surprised him. I don't know how anybody could be evil enough to do that :(.

He's been missing since Tuesday, it's not like him at all and he's only 11 months old :(. He stays in the general area mostly and sleeps indoors and has a healthy appetite, also he's almost always with my other cat who is currently acting in a very depressed manner :(.

normal street of houses I guess and no main roads. People don't drive very fast around here. Playgrounds and fields nearby but not too near.

When is your bin day? One of mine went missing for 3 or 4 days once and when he came back he was filthy. I swear he'd been shut in someone's rubbish bin. I know you've probably already done this but have you tried going out after dark when it's really quiet, calling him and then listening? Or maybe, following your other cat.

Don’t lose hope, when I lived at home one of our cats went missing for several days, I put posters up everywhere and was utterly convinced she had gone due to cats we owned in the past having disappeared with no idea what had happened to her. One day I was in the garden and she suddenly appeared from the back of the garden. We were pretty sure she was trapped in someone’s shed. Another time her daughter who was quite old went missing and upon knocking on a neighbour’s door that lived just three doors away, she admitted to having our cat having thought it was a stray. She never bothered asking anyone about it, and due to the condition of our cat who was old and looked quite thin, she claimed the vet said she must be a stray too! Thankfully we got her back although the woman was not at all nice about it. So please don’t give up hope, I’ve got everything crossed for you.
Have you searched the playgrounds and fields? I would be out as much as possible, when my other cat disappeared we think he was actually up a tree at the time but we failed to hear/notice him. The vet thought a fox had chased him over the fields in the snow and as he is black he was more noticeable.

Our bin day was late because of the bank holiday so things were only collected today. No sign of him yet unfortunately :(. OH has been out a few times at night and every early evening and has followed the other cat around (unfortunately I can't help in that respect due to illness), other cat is very distressed and off his food a bit :(, just kept crying. OH has looked all over the immediate area. Right now morale is pretty low in our house, I'm personally all over the place tbh and having trouble relaxing, eating, and sleeping. I keep wondering if he really has been stolen :(.

There was an incident quite a while ago, we saw a middle aged woman laying off to the side of our house on the pavement looking under the bushes calling to our cat who was hiding, the one who is missing. He ran away and jumped over our garden wall though so she stood there for a few seconds staring and making noises to attract him then just walked off. We didn't know her and assumed she was just eccentric or something and forgot about it until now, it was a while ago but it makes you wonder :(.

No actually I haven't, we've been posting to so many pages and making phone calls etc that one slipped my mind :o. I'll do that later.

    He came back :j

Just came in through the back door crying. He's very hungry (ate two bowls of food and had a bowl of condensed milk, plus a cat treat and some luncheon meat) and his fur is slightly dirty, and he seems nervous but he's home :T. He was all over us purring, I can't wait till my other cat (his brother) gets back from his nightly wonder, I'm guessing they'll have quite the reunion :). Thanks for everyone's help over this :).
