I'm not sure I could to be honest. I don't buy tinned soup as a rule as it's so much easier and cheaper to make my own but there's something about Heinz tomato that just can't be replicated.“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0 -
What's that sauce that was on dragons den , the guy with the dreadlocks and guitar-love that with sausages-oh and wotsits and Jaffa cakes.

Used to love those and tried one again a few years ago for nostalgic reasons but it just didn't seem the the same“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0 -
Instant noodles - the Chinese / Malaysian brands in particular. There used to be an 'ethnic' food store near me that did tom yum soup flavour ones which were  - sadly it's now been replaced by a normal supermarket so no more super-spicy noodles for me.
You could buy those cheap value noodles, discard the sachet of chemical flavouring and add your own flavour. I often do this and have used miso paste, tom yum paste, chicken bovril etc as well as adding various sliced veggies (mushrooms, spring onions, mange tout etc) and prawns or shredded chicken etc.“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0 -

I buy ready made custard. My last attempt at making real custard in the microwave resulted in a jug shaped solid object which my kids swore would make an exellent dog toy.
I can't do custard either. My shame is the ready-pot treacle sponge puddings (45 seconds in the microwave) and I have packs of those and the tubs of ready-made custard to go with them.
I couldn't sleep on Saturday, and at 3.00 a.m., the world becomes a nicer place when it has treacle sponge in it..Some days, it's just not worth chewing through the leather straps....

My guilty pleasure are Ambrosia rice pudding and custard eaten together - Yum. I can make perfectly acceptable rice pudding and custard but somehow just not the same when I need comfort food!!Use it up, Wear it out, Make it do, Do without.0
