Missing some TV channels

I am making this query on behalf of a friend of mine , He cannot get any ITV channel , channel 4 or 5 on his TV and all the other people at the same address have no problem getting them , What is the problem is it the digital box or the TV ?

    Neither. It's his aerial signal.

He'll be only receiving a coupe of multiplexes - and the missing one(s) will include the ITV basket. It could be a faulty cable, or a replacement aerial compete with cable.

Unless they are on Virgin Cable or Sky and have a different delivery method.

How are the 'other people at the same address' getting their reception?
Do you mean 'at the same property', or the same general location?
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

With a aerial . At the same property

That is what makes it so strange

Has he tried retuning the box and/or plugging it into an aerial somebody else is using without a problem?

6/7 people have a indoor aerial fitted to a digital box which gives them a average TV picture . and two of us myself included have a outdoor aerial and a digital box with a perfect TV picture

Has your friend connected their equipment into your aerial to test it?

Their indoor aerial is the likely problem.

It may be a poor quality aerial combined with the weather conditions but also the changes at the end of July caused a few random problems, I lost ITV2, no reason for that to happen but it did. My other TV lost Film4 on ch15. Try a full retune.
