  • Hi everyone,

May I join the thread please? I start my new job on Monday and will be working 16 days in September. I aim to take all of my food and drink to work with me. I am the proud owner of some Tupperware containers and will have a look at the start of the thread for some ideas.

I actually like packed lunches and I'm looking forward to this!

Hi Dozey Crow and welcome :j I'll add you to the list.

Wow what a blast from the past - Tupperware. I remember Tupperware parties being all the rage in the 70's and there was a Tupperware for everything :rotfl:

Good luck with your new job by the way :T

I have always bought Aldi's version of Porridge Pots to take to work for breakfast. As I work 4 days a week it works out to £2 a week on breakfast. Not much but I wanted to reduce that.

I found a way to make my own 'pots' with all the added ingredients that I like. I haven't worked out the cost but it is tiny.
A huge bag of oats, bag of Basics sultanas, pinch of cinnamon, squeeze of honey, bag of coconut shredded coconut and of course milk. Toss all into a container and let it sit overnight. Take to work and eat at room temp or heat up in the microwave. Add fruit if you like too.

Found mention of this thread over on the Grocery Challenge!

I've actually done quite well this week - mostly been using up stuff that has been lurking in my desk drawer!
