No willy waving at all, it's just a fact that giving advice from a position of ignorance of how the specific handset can be set up will always be open to problems.

The OP has just signed a new contract and is paying EE for the privlege, getting one of their staff members to rectify the problem is the most logical advice.

Especially as there could even be problems on the network side contributing to the problem.

Using the EE website and entering the APN details manually is the most logical advice, IMO, if what I suggested above doesn't work. That will save the OP a trip to the EE store.
    What will your verse be?

It might be for a person with the technical confidence to do so, my advice is given after reading the OPs post:

If Furny does want to try doing the settings manually, this is what they need to do:

Tap Settings -> General -> Mobile Data -> Mobile Data Network

At this point you will see a page heading of Mobile Data. This is the page which needs the correct details inputting:

If the sim was supplied by the T-Mobile part of EE
    Internet

    APN - general.t-mobile.uk
    Username - t-mobile
    Password - tm
Sometimes also works with Username & Pass - leave blank

    MMS

    APN - general.t-mobile.uk
    Username - user
    Password - one2one
    MMSC - http://mmsc.t-mobile.co.uk:8002
    MMS Proxy - 149.254.201.135:8080
MMS Max Message Size & MMS UA Prof URL - leave blank.

If the sim was from the Orange part of EE

    Internet:

    APN - orangeinternet
Username & Password - leave blank

    MMS:

    APN - orangemms
    User - Orange
    Pass - Multimedia
    MMSC - mms.orange.co.uk
    MMS Proxy - 192.168.224.10:8080
MMS Max Message Size & MMS UA Prof URL - leave blank.

Yes, it will delete any network you might have previously connected to.

Yes, the thread didn't start well with the OP on about wifi connection, I think if you skip back through the thread you will see where folk started having different views on what the OP was trying to achieve, the Op did mention about googling, which whether the correct assumption or not, lead me to believe he has the ability to follow some 'simple to many' on screen instructions. Later posts suggest now that he may not. So yes he could ask one of his mates who has an iphone on the same network, or go to the shop the last part on which I couldn't fully agree with though , is that the store reps are all going to be experts on adjusting the settings or every aspect of every handset .

Anyone can be helped with step by step instructions, especially on a forum where you can post pictures of the various steps to assist. :)

In general I'd agree with you, but as the OP has already found their way here they must have a little technical know how, and this also provides an easy medium to assist.

I was going to ask if the OP knew how to take a screen shot and post , but perhaps that is more complex than what he is trying to check / correct.
