No idea what a Beeboid is.
I think you do
http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=beeboidNo law change required, why would you think there would be one required
So the onus is on the BBC to prove a law has been broken and not one of their sales goons hear-sayIf you watch TV as broadcast you need a licence. Nothing to do with aerials.
I have my Youview box connected to the internet but it can't receive live feeds so what will your BBC friends do?As I said before simple yet people like yourself seem to be able to muddy the waters
People like me, you mean law abiding members of the public who are harassed, threatened and intimidated by the BBC, me for over 20yrs nowThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

My word your paranoia runs deep.
Why do you think I am "passionate about the BBC" to quote from your link?
There is no need for a change in the law as you earlier suggested.
If the BBC has been harassing you then inform the police and or/sue them.
"People like you" was referring to the fact that you manage to take a simple fact, in this case the need or otherwise for a licence fee to be paid, and blow the whole thing out of proportion.0 -
You are the one who claimed anything negative about the BBC is "tiresome" and yet keeps coming back to defend them, strange that

Perhaps you could brush up on your reading skills as if you were able to read properly you would see that I didn't say what you seem to think I did. :cool:0 -

Memory not what it used to be then?
Anyway lots of respect for those that stop funding the BBC which in turn will give the Beeboids something else to do
Anyway I'll carrying watching Netflix now, no need for me to pay the Champagne Socialists at the BBC for that

My memory is fine thank you for asking.
Your comprehension of what is written is remarkably poor.

Why should I chuck the TV into a bin?0 -
Technology has overtaken the licence fee so one has to ask if it's still relevant in the digital age (you don't pay if you only watch on demand TV via the Web) but you can still technically watch it live so it's open to abuse that is difficult to police.
The fee finances the BBC but some say they don't watch BBC so the easiest way would be to encrypt it and offer a yearly subscription equal to the licence fee to those who want the BBC.
That would seem to suit both the supporters of and opponents to the BBC and be technically viable as pay TV is already available through Freeview.0
