    Apparently the US site is down as well, but some people can get in through the German site, ebay.de

    Honestly I was in a panic thinking someone had hacked my account as it came up saying my password is incorrect. I've tried calling EBay but they have a notice saying that the wait time is long and then when I input my 1 time code it says to call back later - so frustrating.

    I'll keep an eye on this thread for updates. Thanks everyone.

    The eBay and PayPal systems will be undergoing general maintenance from approximately 23:00 PT (11pm) on Thursday, August 22nd to 01:00 PT (1am) on Friday, August 23rd. During this maintenance period, certain site features may be intermittently unavailable or slow.

    1AM Pacific time is 9am UK time (I think)

    Some people in UK must be able to use it as I have been having sales notifications coming through on my email at the same time as I couldn't log in.

    Seems to affect some items rather than others. It doesnt usually last this log, guess they are making changes for some of the forthcoming extra fees etc.
