Hi Savings, yes it's definitely worth it. My renewal quote was £740 with Aviva. In the end, I insured with Esure through moneysupermarket for £370. Well worth it.What I do not give, you must never take by force.

That is an amazing result. Well done! Better in your pocket. Mine was only £5 difference but I still took it LOL. If I am lucky I will get cashback but it is unclear whether I will be considered a 'new' customer or not.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Terrible isn't it? How much insurance companies must be making off people who don't shop around. Great for me of course. I also used that tool on this site which helps you get the right name for your job. It does definitely work and make a difference in quote price.
Last day of the month, so managed 12 NSD's including today. Pleased with that small victory.
I also managed to make £61.81 from my Prolific and One Poll surveys this month. Really happy with this result. The Laptop should definitely be paid off by the end of October if everything continues the way it has been going. Really happy with this. And now I know that this is possible, I am considering changing my mobile. It is relatively new, but the microphone is terrible. Everyone says I sound muffled. A bit of a problem when the bank uses voice recognition! So, I think I will look for a new mobile in the Black Friday sales or whichever sale gets me a good bargain during this sale period and buy it with PayPal Interest Free credit for 1 year. I will sell my Motorola on to someone else, and then pay down what I get for it and pay off the rest in the same way with the earnings from the surveys. It makes sense and is rude not to.
I really wish I had known about this source of income years ago and was on the ball to do it. But, here we are. I may as well take advantage now. But to be fair, I am positive I am only able to make such inroads because I am working from home. If I was in the office, I wouldn't be able to hover around the sites waiting for a survey to come my way.
Anyway, pay off the laptop, get a decent mobile phone. Who would have known that the microphone would be so crap on a mobile? And it seems pointless living with it when you can do something about it without too much pain.
Tomorrow is another day. This feels somewhat like 'The Good Fight'.What I do not give, you must never take by force.

1st October and just made another £11 payment into the laptop from Prolific. Officially now only owe £40.00.
All monies allocated and accounted for at the beginning of the month. Only un-structure debt - as far as I am aware - is to the Credit Card, but this gets paid off this month. Regular payment will then be focussed from the Visa to the car loan.
Still struggling to find workmen and a cleaner. Oh well. What I do not give, you must never take by force.

Any friends who could turn workmen for you? I reached out to friends who had set up in business after seeing a friend's FB post about work he had done for her. Until that I didn't know he was now in the trade.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Mortgage payment made, so all good. Reduced by regular payment, but not sure yet if I will have any spare to make overpayments this month. A lot going on financially.
Went shopping and managed to get some YS from Asda. Very happy with that.
Met with someone who may become my cleaner. Depends if she shows up tomorrow and if she is scared off by the enormity of the job. Hopefully not. Tomorrow may be the first day of the rest of my life!
Not managed any Prolific surveys for the past 5 days, so not looking good for the 'pay the laptop off by the end of October' dream. But you never know. Something amazing may happen. I managed to win £10 on the lottery. Not enough to do anything with, so left it in the account to buy some more tickets when the mood arises.
Putting the 'new phone' dream on hold, whilst I focus on raising the income to pay off my holiday next year that probably won't happen. It needs to be paid by 20 December - nearly there, only £400 more to go. If you don't pay it in full, you lose it all, so best to ensure this is done and they will then refund me or make another booking for a year's time. At this rate, I will have forgotten what I wanted to go for!! This holiday was put off twice this year and will probably be put off next year, so lets hope for year 3!
Right, better go and clean and tidy up for the cleaner!

Thanks greent. To be fair, at this point I don't care!! No, her standards are clearly higher than mine, and that's what counts! She coming back again at the weekend to finish what she calls the 'deep clean' (so ashamed!) and then she will come fortnightly. I already feel better and just hope she isn't scared away. What I do not give, you must never take by force.
